races and encounters (ADDED VIDEO OF CRAPPY SI)
Last night we had 10 S2000's down on our cruising strip called Hwy100. It was a blast, and there were many cars down there. I don't know what races the others had or got into, but I had a few encounters myself.
When we all started off, there was this obnoxious sounding tiburon that kept trying to race me. He just kept getting next to me and downshifting to take off. What's sad is even with him downshifting, I could floor it in 4th at like 40mph and keep up. I never even bothered since there was never a chance to clear traffic, and I wasn't about to go all FNF dippin through cars like Paul Walker.
Probably the most ANNOYING car of the night was this stupid kid in a black Civic Si hatch. he was turbo'd (we could hear the blow off valve), and the guy was trying to race just about every one of us. none of us would bite, because #1 he was so annoying we didn't care, and #2 we were in traffic. The guy would sit there and floor it for 50 feet to the bumper of the car in front of him then slam on the brakes. He seriously did this for a good 10 minutes. What was even more annoying is his exhaust sounded horrid, as it was just this loud whooshing/raspy sound. That's great and all, but it was the MOST ANNOYING thing last night. We were all tired of hearing the retard take off for 50 feet then slam on the brakes, then repeat the process.
There was one time I had a little jaunt with him after a light, I started about 1.5 cars behind him at 30mph. I hammered it in 1st gear as he floored it, and I pulled almost even with him by 60mph when he had to shut down from traffic. (i think I have it on video i have to look) Either way, the guy gets award for most obnoxious rice driver of the night.
A little while after this, there was a guy in a tC who had caught himself in the middle of our group. Again, seemingly out to prove himself, he was trying to get me and another S2k to run him. I actually think this might have been the same one from last weekend. Anyways, there was a point where our group got seperated at the light. There was the tC on my right and a blue civic Si on my left. Once the light turned, we all took off, and I was easily able to leave mr. tC behind me. Just also of interesting note, the tC also lost to the Si. (i later confirmed this with one of the S2k's behind me) The Si won to about 80mph by about a car length. From what I saw and was told, the Si took the tC a little at first, but the tC pulled even by the end of 1st gear. Through 2nd was fairly even, and 3rd gear had the Si by a car length. Both cars stock.
lastly on the way home, I had some assmo in a cavalier f*cking with me on the freeway. His auto cavalier tried as it might. One time he actually floored it, took 3 hours to get ahead of me by a car length (I maintained 70mph the entire time) and he moved in front and threw on his flashers. The next time I got next to him, I waited for his auto to shift, and then layed waste to him with little regard.
Finally on the way into work today, i was coming around a corner by my work. I was going about 40mph, and the median blocks view of anything small in the road around the curve. As I came around the curve, there were 2 geese in front of me. I didn't want to slam the brakes, as being in the turn this could upset the rear end, so i slowed as much as I could. The one goose got out of the way, but the other stood there, finally started to fly away and bounced off my windshield like a rubber ball. He flew off, so that was good. no damage to the car, and all is ok.
That'll show him next time not to try to race an S2000. muahahah

some say only 8psi, but i argue it'd take a lot more than that. closer to 14psi or more.
if any boosted civics in the area want to make a friendly run, i can video tape it and post the results.

A few of the guys that post on my forum said they saw your pack of S2000's
There is also a thread there about the turbo Si. I guess he has been seen in a few races and pulled on a few LT1 F-bodies.

anyways, here is some video of that crappy annoying Si. the video isn't much to see. right at the end, I go to wave my friend ahead of me, and he slows down to 30mph with me. once my friend goes ahead, I drop it to 1st and hammer it. the guy in the Si does the same. I actually pull on him, but of course you can't see it because my camcorder doesn't turn around to record losers.

Rep Power: 401 I was coming around a curve, and if i'd fully slammed on the brakes, at 40mph there is a chance I could have unsettled back back end, so i slowly applied brake pressure, rather than make a sudden move. unfortunately this also made it difficult to stop in time, so I was probably still going about 10mph by the time the goose bounced off my windshield.

Rep Power: 0 Nice kills, stupid ricers. I would think about 12-13 lbs could probably be pretty close w/a s2000, but 14 would possibly win. Sometime this year Ill be up there, and Ill let y'all know. I should race my friends s2000. I told him I wanted to race, and he was scared at first. I was like, Dude, your gonna whoop on me, lol. So hes more willing now.
