prescription from doctor/medical for tint

window tint on the side windows is illegal in california. if i were to obtain a perscription from my medical doctor saying i need window tint on my side windows (driver/passenger) in order to keep my eyes safe and secure from blinding by other lights at night, would this be perfectly legal? meaning as would that document (the presciption) count as a legal document if any officer ever tried to ticket me for the tint?

is it possible?

California
NO / NO / ANY / ANY* / 1987 ?

Note : If the rear-back window is tinted, left and right rear-view mirrors are required.

Medical exemption allows for tint or other shading material is allowed on the front side doors if it allows at least 35% of the light to go through, readily is removable and cannot be used at night.

Enforcement Note : Out-of-State cars driven in California are required to be in compliance with the CA Tint law.

Yes it is legal to do that

So you'd have to take the tint off at night?

I could imagine it happening if someone had a medical condition that required it for sunlight, but i cant see how headlights of other vehicles would effect it. If you brought it up you may have a difficult time keeping your license as some people at the DMV might argue that it would effect your driving and create a risk by allowing you to drive if the lights of other vehicles "blind" you.
