ok...i'm currently rolling on 18" ADR Model Flite 4 rims with Federal 205/35ZR18 tires...the rims are in damn good shape (considering that they're over a year old), and the tires are brand new...you can see 'em in the pic in my signature below...

i have a friend with a '00 Civic Si that wants to trade rims...he says he'll give me $700, PLUS the rims and tires that are currently on his car...i'm not sure what his tires are, but they're at about 90% tread, and the rims are 15" Rota SlipStreams...

i wouldn't keep the Rotas, but that sounded like a damn good deal to me...just wanted to get some opinions on what y'all think: yes or no?

edit: by the way, i paid $1089 total for the ADR rims and the 205/40ZR18s when i bought them new a year ago...

oh, one more thing...i'm in FL for 3 weeks (TX weather was pissing me off), so i'll be hitting Daytona Beach for Spring Break Nationals this coming weekend...i'll make sure to take a $hitload of pics, and i'll have them up when i get back home to TX around the 15th of April...

yes, rape deal if you want:
1. To get smaller rims.
2. To get your money back. As always it's hard to get what you put in. Slips with tires can go for like 4-500, more in good condition with good tires as these. That'll total over the price you spent.

bad:
1. Everyone and their mom has rota slips, so you'd wanna sell the quick. Hopefully you'd have something to roll on in the mean time AND if you sell them.

yeah, i'm most likely going to do the trade...i mean, i'd be lucky to sell the rim/tire combo for $700 alone, much less get $700 AND another set of rims...

and i'm definitely not going to keep the Rotas...i know they're lightweight, etc. but 15"s aren't for me...so i'll drive home on the Rotas, pick up some new 18"s or 19"s, and just put them up for sale...

i have no idea what they're worth, so i honestly don't know...since i'm getting the extra cash PLUS the Rotas, i'll probably just sell 'em for a few hundred bucks with the tires...i just need enough to add on to the $700 to get new rims...i'll let y'all know as soon as the deal is done, and then we'll figure out the details...thanks!

i went to dude's house today to make the swap and get the cash, and his sister tells me that last night he traded the SlipStreams for a set of factory Acura alloys...so he's an asshat, and i'm very much pissed...sorry, guys...
