too many choices...
i need an opinion....i called up a shop called inline pro in va....and they charged me $8,500 to drop a dc5 type r in my 03 civic coupe....now...im wondering...is it worth it??? or should i just use that money to get a better car??? i hear theres going to be a new si coupe coming out in 2006...that true???but yeah...wut do u guys think is a better idea??? =D
i like the looks of the coupe plus type r is sick. If you could do the swap yourself Id say go for it. That would be like 2500ish cheaper if you shopped around. I can't see investing that much extra in labor though, but thats just me. Probably better off buying a used type s if your spending more than 6k. The other thing is that with the civ/type-r you will have something that you cant buy at the lot. Those are just a few of the things to consider. JDM motors are so sick too. The price isnt bad but either way 8,500 is a lot of money. Chose wisely, you wont get it back once its into the car. I have probably 10k into my civ and its probably not worth any more than book value anyway. I'm keeping it till it dies(or rots out i guess- motors are easily replaced hehe) . Plus I love the car to death.
inline pro is a good company. They have built tons of great cars, but I went to them for the same thing. To expensive. They are making bank on that deal.
