I should get a KMS one, hehe. I would too. Everybody else was N/A that tried performance sh**. Im gonna get one sometime and try it. Maybe DH, whatever one looks to be better quality. That sucks though. Mine has a hole in it, patched up with JB Weld. haha. We had to shave it when installing the turbo kit, and my friend went a little too far. Its all good though (for now)
if i didnt smash my stock one when it was in the shed I would have wrapped it in cf and let someone have it. I bet that would work if you got a long 2" roll and wrapped it mad tight. someone try it.

well i was driving about 2:30am friday night going home and heard a loud bang and it blew and in the process cut the oil line to my oil pressure gauge but i only lost less than a quart, we came up with another idea that maybe the fuel might have puddled up in it and caused it, i dunno, i just ordered an aem gauge type wideband and was going to get another stock one and fiberglass reinforce it but im going to check in the other guys offer on his intake.
OH and for info i called KMS today and they DO NOT MAKE INTAKE MANIFOLDS ANYMORE

If all else fails I can make you one. Or try a d16y8. IDK how good they work. Im sticking one on my car soon to see what happens. I am trying a million different combos to get the record straight on what works best. boost and ITB for our cars is a waste. The butterfly blocks too much of the port and becomes restrictive. If our ports were bigger it mighta worked. I messed with it to no avail so back to the single TB I go.

isnt the y8 manifold, still plastic? I dont see the point in changing manifolds for close to the same. It may have better flow, but when it comes to reliability, and not blowing on ya, it seems as if it would blow just about as easy as a stock one. I dont see the point in upgrading to the same type of thing, I would rather get some performance out of it.
Is it plastic?

a lot of modding those things are built in a sequence. once its together, cutting and welding is a hard thing to do. There is limited access to many of the joints. Also the ports are more oval than ours. I think the kms would work ok for boost. IDK of anyone using it tho. Y not convert to the sidemount TB with the Y8 ??? Its not that hard to do and they are a dime a dozen. I cut my charge pipe and spun it a little and it fit right up. I am going to weld a flange to put the d17 TB on it though. That way I dont have to frig with the idle control.

I wish I could weld, damn I shoulda taken welding in HS, instead of Graphic Design. I dont do sh** for Graphic Design or Computer Animation, and never will.
Thats cool that it isnt plastic. I hate my plastic POS. it got a hole in it when we had to fit, I forget which line, I believe the oil line, in order to get a fitting to go in, we had to shave a slight amount, and got a hole in it. We threw some J-B weld up on that biyatch, and its done good so far. Of course, I will replace the manifold sometime though with a better one.
