you dont really really need to go to the referee, you can actually just pay the fine and be done with it. depends on what ur ticket says though. if its only something about illegal smog devices or something then ur cool, just pay and thats it. but if you are really stuck b/w a rock and a hard place, let me know and i can lend u my stock piping if i can find it.

i just came back from the ref about a week ago. Passed with an average of 90db with my greddy catback and aemv2 intake. Just put on your silencers and your good. They dont check any smog only that the car has a cat. Its better to go to the ref cuz my ticket was around150 if I didnt go to the re f. Supposidly now that I went to the ref and passed it will be around 15? thats what people say, but I wont know how much it will be til my court date.

I got one if you'd like. Looking to get rid of it; I'm at UCI if that helps.

Just go to the ref, its free if you already got a modified exhaust ticket. They'll test only the exhaust and wont check anything else (i went to the one in Rancho). Get the papers that you pass and take it to court, the judge will write it off and you pay a 10$ processing fee. You'll always have the papers to show the cops in the future or the judges if need be.

I should have to go soon. I have an 01, so I think in like a year or less. I have a cat right now, but will be getting rid of it. I will have it so I can swap out a piece of straight pipe and a cat in a few minutes. So if I need the cat on, I just replace that one piece, and if I dont need it, I just take it off and replace it with straight pipe. My friend is doing that in his 00Si. He said I should do the same, and he was definately right. It was a bomb idea.
