(PLEASE) 03+ full coilovers..who has them?
I would just like to know considering i have and 05 and NEED to lower my car. What type of system you have and what extras are needed as far as top mounts, drilling the 16mm holes or whatever. I am debating Tein Basics and B&G's because i am not interested in just getting sprngs and then dealing with changing the shocks in the future and i am not interested in waiting for the Omni's. This question has been asked before but a definative answer has never been given. People give part numbers of what that they think they need for top mounts or such, but its never a definate answer. Please help me figure this out. Im sure others on this site would like to know what other people have to say as well.

dont you need different top mounts for the tein basics and B&G's. Also dont you have to drill out the 14mm holes to 16mm? I just want to know exactly what is needed as far as part numbers and where to get them. thanks

for the teins you can get the pillowball mounts or just 01. not sure about B&G. i dont think you need to drill any bigger holes on those. not sure on that.

where do i get the pillowball mounts or the 01 mounts part numbers, or find out if i need the mounts for the B&G's. if you dont need them for the B&G's, then i would highly consider them over the teins.

why would they make the teins or the B&G's for just the 01's and make you buy the top mounts seperate. if they make the product, they should give you all the neccesary components to install it correctly and not make you guess. anyone have a definate answer on what top mount you need or if you really need them for the teins or b&g's. i know you need the 01 top mount but what exactly do you need and what are the part numbers. this is too confusing, all i want to is lower my car.
Ok i got b+g's and I am putting them on an 04. You need to buy the 01 uppermount becuse the top of the spring will not fit perfectly on the 04-05 uppermount.
This is what you need
369032 009
BEARING, FR. SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNT
14.00 x2
369033 010 MOUNT, R. FR.
23.51
369034 011 MOUNT, L. FR. 23.51

Now as far as drilling the holes from 14 to 16mm I still dont know the answer. Some people say you need to while others say they didnt drill the holes and they still put them on 04's+.
So any one that knows the answer please inform us!
From what I hear the tein basics require some parts for the rear aswell and you need to cut the dust boot becuse it makes noise.

it involves cutting a rubber tube with a utility knife.
I would suggest you get under your car with a diagram, part schematic or repair manual and aclimate yourself with the suspension. It seems you know very little about it, and thats never a good position to be in when you go to change things.

i am kind of familiar with the suspension system of my car. my friend and i recently installed neuspeed sports on his 03 with no problems. i just dont remember seeing a dust boot, or maybe i dont know what it looks like, or maybe i wasnt even looking for it. thats why i asked the question. i dont want to start cutting something wiithout knowing exactly how to cut it or how much to cut off. thats what knowledgeable, experienced people like you are here for. to supply us with knowledge that we dont have so we dont screw things up.
i got my b&g's on an 03 civic and u need the upper mounts on the front and u gotta drill the hole larger i believe in the rear or maybe the front, been a while but if u search u'll find the answer, cuz i posted what i had to do when i changed my suspension

this just came to me: couldn't 03+ users just use EP3 coilovers since they're 16mm on the EP3 anyway? i know spring rates would be weird though, but just fittament... would it fit?
^i'm talking about the struts mount holes, would 03+ civics be able to use ep3 struts?
besides, adjustability on coilovers can usually adjusts ride height, dampening, and rebound, but not the actual stiffness of the spring itself.

I'd say get the ksports!!
I have a kit on order waiting for it to come in. He sold out and his shipment won't come until april 14.
btw they are 36 way adjustable

Heres a pic. (these are the ksports for the rsx, he doesn't have pics of the civic cuz he has none in stock.)

OH I also forgot to mention the Ksports are very close to the D2 coilovers that are soo popular in other countries. The specs are similar or very similar and the coilovers are made in the same factory.
I paid $700 shipped but its cuz I'm under a sponsorship agreement with ksportusa.com .
Their distributor in arizona, which u can find on their website. Will sell you the kits for about 695+shipping. Shipping I belive is about 75 dollars. Or I can talk to the guy I know at ksport and see if we can get a gb going.
