It's OVER FOR ME GUYZ!!!!!! **ENGINE BLOWN/MELTED**
Well, Look like it could be close for me to leave
this website for. Just before I even start talking about what happend to me,
*I dont need a hand or sympathy from any one, so dont go ahead and put smart comments*. I just want to let you guyz knw what happend, and hopefully, you guyz never have this happen to you..... Well, I figured out what the problem I was having with the smoke was out of the exauhst was*.
It was my Return line for the OIL,after the turbo!.
When I figured out, that that was the problem. I started moving around the line,(trying to make the line go in a straight line back to the oil pan, with out going trough some roller coaster ride, up and down.) <<* the next day I was going to get a bigger RETURN HOSE and replace the little one TSI brought*. Well, as I was trying to move the line up and down, to try and give a smooth line for oil to go by, I must've touched a an IGNITION or Some sort of wire, but when I did touch it. A Huge Spark came out of it. *the car was on* <Idiot of me. I should've just turned the car off, gotten some Electric black tape, and wrapped it around the lil peeled WIRE. But i didnt think much of it!. I was like oh well. So, I GUESS i sat the oil line by that electric wire, wich i guess melted the steel braided line as it go hot, and some OIL dripped into it.......................
Well, I drove like that from my sisters house to my house, Perfectly Fine..
Then i got my back in my car later that evening, and 3-4 miles down the ROAD I c some smoke comming out of my hood, I was thinking, **shoot, did i blow some sorta of hose, or somthing of that issue.. 5 seconds later.. I C a **** load of Black and bluesh smoke comming out of the hood, i was like What the ****... I pulled over at a Walgreens, and I opened to hood, * and right at the spot where that spark had came from. Well it was a fire all over it.. not too big. But enough for me to not to be able to stop it. So as my girl called 911, I rushed into Walgreens to get a FIRE EXTINGUISHER, by the time i came out, it was a bit too late. It was too big of a fire for a small Extinguisher.. Here I stood, looking at fire going trough the hood of my car. Fire from the bottom of the engine, it was everywhere!.* Ill admit, I let a few tears go as this was happening* That **** just hit me so hard watching my baby leave me like that, and all cuz I was such an Idiot and had to mess with the wires that certain day, and never wrap that tiny Ignition or whatever wire that was peeled... ( I dont knw, I guess it was destined, <<<**** happens>>>)
Anyhow, Firefigthers came trough and put out the fire.
Looks like the engine/turbo/manifold/intercooler/piping/fuel rail/ maybe injectors. Made it trough*. But eveything thing else, such as Wire Harnesses,HOod,cables,fans,FPR, all lines, and basically everything thing else thats in an engine was melted. sucks so ****ing bad you guyz dont even knw it. all that because a simple mistake... *geesus that **** sucks*
anyways, I have the adjuster from the insurance place is comming to look at my car Monday Or Tuesday.. I guess is time for a new car. A cpl of friends of mine are telling me. d00d, its time for the k20 swap. But I am not sure. that D17 was like my child, i did so much to it, and I dont knw if i can drive it anymore. I might just have the insurance place in there a new D17, and I am going to trade the car in for another......

^^Damn stfu aznsufr lol, lots of people are running it with little to no problems... but on a funny note this happened to my friend on the highway and he pulled over and took a leaked on the fire to make it go out rofl.

Rep Power: 0 Yea, Well I should have the Insurance check by Monday-Tuesday... Anyhow, If I dont end up buying the Harley Davidson truck, due to gas prices these days....
( I dont knw much about Type S engine's)<<< I was all about boostin d17's
But, If I do Consider swapping the RSX-TypeS or R engine in there, with the money Ill get from insurance. What site is good to buy those engines from,(that have good mileage,good record) How much is a good price for em shipped? whats the website to buy them from? Also, If i do get one, I would want a JDM, with the 6 speed trany....
