How did u mount n2o bottle and keep ur trunk floor?

How did u mount n2o bottle and keep ur trunk floor?
When I installed my n2o kit i took out the trunk floor (cardboard) and carpet and drilled holes to mount the bottle brackets. Seen some pics of installs where people kept their trunk floor. Did u just drill through the cardboard floor or did u cut it to fit the bottle brackets? Can u take ur floor out w/o uninstalling the brackets?
