I have no idea what yellow mustang you are talking about, there is one where he spanked a mustang gt on nitrous that i do have tho...

ok he put down his biggest numbers on that run, 250.4hp...

Im not sure of the exact amount of alcohol he was spraying...
To the best of my knowledge he was just running on 92 octane pump gas, possibly crappier gas than that but deff not race gas or anything...

Ohhh ok, thats the vid I was talking about, but I guess I was thinking it was yellow because yellow is the color of the stang that Iceburgslim took down, now that I remember. BTW, thanks for that vid, I spent forever looking for it.

the stock head gasket wont, as guns can tell you, and tell you, and tell you...thats 3 of them he blew...lol
but the actual bottom end held up fine, maybe we are not giving the motor enough credit...

you cant tell anything in that mustang vid...i was hoping to see the numbers....not doubting that he won, just wanted to see the numbers, and was that 1/8 mile track....what was his best in the 1/4

250whp on 17psi? Many members have made 200whp on only 8psi... something is wrong there or he was using a very small turbo. If he was using a small turbo, that would make sense, but it would have to be something like a k18 or k20 turbo. 17psi out of a t03/04b turbo or a t3 super 60 turbo would be a lot closer to 325 or more whp.
Besides, it's not boost that blows a motor, it's power. 250whp is well within what the stock block can take. The limit seems to be around 300whp with proper tuning and fuel.

OK to clear up several things the 250whp dyno was at 14psi. The 17psi spike was when I was adjusting the manual boost controller. I kept it around 10-12psi and turned it up to high when I aimed for 14psi.
Also I was spraying alot of pure methanol. If you look into methanol it does not run at the same a/f as 92 octane. Good luck figuring it out. But it held. Stock injectors can only get pushed so hard by an FMU. WIth more fuel and running richer I should have hit 300whp at that 17psi.
The head gasket problem was solved by using a two tripple layer head gaskets. Yes I blow mine three times before I decided to double up. The extra headgasket lowered the compression slightly.
The bottom end was ok. But I was not feeling good about it. No appearent problems. But I did not want to continue the abuse. I was supposed to have a DH built block but that never happend.
The video was at the 1/8th mile track. My best quarter was 13.8sec spinning through third gear on 17" street tires. I had a major traction problem. 15's with drag radials should have fixed it.
Too anyone thinking of boosting and have $$$ then go emanage with a return fuel system. Anyone else on a budget. Get a SF fuel system and spray methanol.
Too all the haters, suck a pole. Call me when you are running 20psi in a R33 or 14psi daily on a SR20.

Well with that I could have hit 300whp. BUt the trany would have gone to crap. then it would have been more money to make it bullet proof.
So instead of dropping more hard earned money into what might have been a 12sec car, I bought a Skyline and a 240sx. One for show and track and one for a beater.
To anyone with a D17. VAFC2 is not a good tool to run with turbo. WHen you take out fuel it starts to advance the timing. Also methanol is not safe to run. I used it as a saftey net to prevent detonation. On the good side the D17s are cheap and if you blow it up you can find them complete on ebay for $450.

is he runnin stock internals? IM?, FI? how much HP on that run?
