Long year for BAR/Honda in F1
Seems like it is going to be a long year in F1 for BAR/Honda.
Hopefully they can fix the car a little, even the drivers are not happy with the car. At least Renault had a good start.
Here's what one of the driver's had to say:

as long as Ferrari loses for once - not just a race, but the constructor's cup - I will be overjoyed. It's not that I hate the big red F, I'd just like to see more competition in F1. Whether it's Renault or BAR, or, heck, even Williams or McLaren, I don't care.
You may not like Ferrari, but there is no spending cap on F1. Ferrari is more committed to F1 than anyone. That's only reason they build cars for the public, to pay for F1. Don't get me wrong, I root for BAR or Williams, but Ferrari will continue to win until the others get serious. They are the 'Yankees' of racing.
Oh yeah, Ferrari is still running last years car. The other teams will probably win till Spain, then it will be lights out. And don't bring up the fact that Sauber is already using Ferrari's 2005 engine, they just don't have the entire package like Ferrari (management, crew and drivers).
I love Speed Channel, and their coverage of F1, WRC, and the rest of the REAL (road track) racing.

I knew they would be off pace from the winter testing times. The team to watch this year is Red Bull just like it was BAR last year. Hopefully BAR can get pace, but it seems right now firing David Richards was a bad idea.

Sauber used to use the last year Ferrari motor supplied by Petronas, but as of last year they are using the current spec motors do to a rule change...one of the many. And on the whole engine suplier, Red Bull racing will more than likely be getting Honda power next year, another team to route for

edit: And btw to anyone that watched the race how funny where the pit stops? 3 guys with actual jobs to do and 17 other guys just standing around looking at the tires

BAR will never be as great as Ferrari, and as long as Schumacher and his dream team remain at Ferrari it will remain a Ferrari championship. All these new rules have been introduced into f1 to slow ferrari down, because teams like Toyota, Mclaren, Honda and BMW are not doing there job to catch up. It is there job to catch the champions, not slow them down with bs rules.
And I will be at the race in Montreal this June, for the 9th time in a row...Gold seats, Grand stand 1, across from the Pit area....Can't wait.

Formula One cars must have four, uncovered wheels, all made of the same metallic material. Front wheels must be between 305 and 355mm wide, the rears between 365 and 380mm.
With tyres fitted the wheels must be no more than 660mm in diameter (670mm with wet-weather tyres). Measurements are taken with tyres inflated to 1.4 bar.

I cannot seem to find a link which specifies the wheel or "rim" diameter regulations, but I can clearly recal 13" being mentioned on numerous ocasions on TV and books.

Why hate on Ferrari, there where they are not becasue of cheating but by dedication, if it wernt for them other companies would not work so hard and some of the technology we have today may not have been created.
