ok, so should I hit ok after every single change I make. My old unit reset on me half the time. The new one does EVERY single time. Whats the deal. Any help or things to try would be awesome, thanks a lot!! I hate redoing ALL the settings after I turn the car back on, it takes too damn long, so Im keeping my keys in at a lot of places right now.
should I do this?
ie.
1psi=12ms - OK
2psi=14ms - OK
3psi=16ms - OK
4psi=18ms - OK
Peace
BTW, I changed the title/topic to this thread since nobody responded to the old one, so Im gonna bump it up.

Anybody else have these issues, PLEEEEEASE help. It takes 10 minutes just to drive after I turn the car on, and I just found it, it resets while Im driving. THink it may be the power wire to the battery??? Or maybe just ground the black one, not hook it up to the negative battery??? ANy ideas, anything at all, please let me know. I have a tune set up and I need this fixed before than. How often do you guys hit OK? I tried it at the end, after every setting, and after setting every part of every setting.
Thanks a lot
Peace

Cuz it needs to keep the settings before the tune. I dont want it tuned, than loose everything. ya know
But I called TSI and they said take the wire off the neg battery terminal and ground it. I thought that may be it. I cant wait to go home and find out if thats it. Other than that, its running freakin nice. hauls pretty good for a D17 too. It'll throw you in your seat a little even in 4th, 5th passes sooooo nicely on the freeway though

My guess is that you've got your controller wired to a 12v switched. That's probably why you've got to reset it all the time. Try wiring it to a 12v constant and see if that doesn't fix your problem.
I'm not familiar with the kit or the controller, so I'm just throwing a really wild guess out there.

I calles TSI and they said no wire goes to the neg battery. I shoulda grounded it. So when I get home, I will try that. I believe thats it. The instructions say to ground it as well. I didnt do the wiring, had my friend whos better at that do it, but messed up that one. Oh well, it didnt damage anything. He did a bomb a** job though on electrical, it looks completely stock, you dont see one wire exposed, and its all in electrical tape (he soldered the connections), so Im happy as hell.
This would definately cause it though, its the same thing that happened with my reverse indiglos (ebay w/no instructions), and when I grounded it, it worked just fine ever since.

The shop has never heard of, or seen TSIs ICU. I am taking a trip out there saturday to show it to em, and possibly let them adjust a little bit. Its very simple, I know they're gonna be able to do it fine. If its still resetting, I would ask them what they think it is. Id rather not pay to have that fixed. Electrical stuff is fine, mechanical stuff, I need help with, or it takes me forever to learn/figure out what to do correctly.

weither u ground it or connect it to the negative terminal.. it should do the EXACT same thing because the gound is just ur metal body.. its a conductor of electricity so they connected the negative part of the batter to it... ima go with what someone said earlier.. maybe ur not connected to a constant 12v. but wouldnt that keep the unit on ALL the time then and not shut off? try it out bro let us know what happens

DUDE!! You manually reset the ICU by pressing OK several times. You should only hit okay after you've tuned all boost level setting.....press OK, then move on to the next menu...tune....press okay.....etc

The only prob was the black wire had to be grounded. It has worked perfect ever since. DO NOT USE THE NEG battery terminal.
I still hate this unit, I hate to get the profeb b for boost controll, cuz with this kit, you'll hit 13lbs like nothing. not even WOT. I hate the unit, but the kit is nice. Emanage is the bomb. this ICU sucks. I have used 2 different ones, but the first one wasnt connected right. The screen only showed up half way, so that one was busted.
