Team Hashiriya is trying to get a meet together down here in San Diego. We need to know how many people would be intrested before we go pay for the track and get all the details worked out. We are looking to hold the meet at the drag strip in Carlsbad, CA. Yes you will be able to race on the drag strip. I'll provide directions if we get this off the ground. I have been working with Mantaray Motorsports Racing and I think they will be there selling parts and whatever else you all want hopefully I can work out some good deals with them for you all. We will be holding a raffle and probably have a BBQ not sure on that yet. We are looking to hold the meet sometime in late Jan. early Feb. that depends on the response we get from you. All car enthusiasts are welcome no one will be turned away but one of my boys and myself have 2k1 Civics so I want you all there to show up the Celicas. I'm waiting to see how many more people want to come and when MMR will be able to do this before i set a date. Like i said probably in early Feb. It will for sure be on a Saturday. I talked to MMR today and they said they will most likely provide prizes and will give out coupons for 10% off first purchase through them. I will post directions when we set everything up.

Alright we got most of the details worked out. The meet is going to be on Saturday Jan 26th from 2pm to 6pm. Hot Import Nights is that same day at the Del Mar Fairgrounds so after the meet we will be rolling down there as a group. Everyone is welcome to cruise with the more the better. MMR will be there and giving away some stuff hopefully. It will be at the drag strip in Carlsbad. I will post directions probably tomorrow. If we can't rent out the track if you want to run it's like $10 to $15 for all day. We are trying to work out the food thing right now. Any questions just let me know.

alright Team Hashiriya has gotten together with MMR and we have figured out what we are gonna do.. The meet was originally planned for Sat Jan 26th from 2pm to 6pm. Hot Import Nights is on that day from 5pm to midnight this year so our meet will most likely be bumped up to noon to 3pm. From there we will be rolling down to Hot Import nights together. It is located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The more people that roll with us the better. The track is like $12 to get in and $10 to run all day. These are the requirements for the track ........
BASIC TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

VEHICLE: No water, fuel, oil or trans leaks.

DRIVER: Must have valid state driver's license. No shorts, bare legs, tank - tops, bare torsos, bare feet permitted when racing.

HELMET: Required on all drivers.

SEAT BELTS: All cars and trucks must have as a minimum, an O.E.M. type lap belt system.

SEATS: Must be securely fastened to floor or frame.

NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH: All vehicles must be equipped with an operational neutral safety switch.

BATTERIES & BALLAST: All batteries must be secured per O.E.M. Loose ballast is not permitted on the race track, it must be securely mounted, or removed.

RADIATOR: Overflow catch tank mandatory on all vehicles.

ELECTRONICS: Aftermarket electronic devices allowed.

MASTER CUTOFF SWITCH: Mandatory if battery is relocated in vehicle.

MOTORCYCLES: Must have operational front and rear brakes, chain guards, ignition cutoff switch, and functioning snap back throttle mandatory. Full face helmet, leather jacket, gloves, and leather (above ankle) shoes mandatory.

Also i think i may be getting some extra tickets for hot import nights but not sure yet ill be giving them away if i can get them. Like i said before everyone is welcome but THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON FIGHTING AND RACING OFF THE TRACK. If you wanna race you an do it on the track. It is called the Carlsbad Raceway directions are take I-5 get off at Palomar Airport Rd. and head east stay on that for a bit and then turn left onto White Sands rd. then turn left onto Pointsetta and you will see us. alright everyone meet is today Jan 26th 2002 at the carlsbad raceway from like noonish till whenever. directions from I-5 are:

exit I-5 at Palomar Airport Rd and head east
take that till white sands rd and turn left there
then at the first light turn left onto pontsettia and the track will be directly in front of you

requirements for track are in an earlier post

it is $12 to get into the track and $10 to run all day

i think it's 8 pieces and i don't know how much i paid for it uh they usually run like $80 - $90 i'll post a link to a site that sells them for the 2k1 civic

the link that i have is carbon fiber trim i didnt get mine there and as far as the price they are supose to get back to me on that so ill let you know when i find out
