2 "Legal" Questions
I'm trying to remember back to the good ole days of Drivers Ed in high school, but that was a long time ago.
1. If I am behind a car at a stop sign that is an idiot that has pulled his car completely past the stop bar and I am at the stop bar, do I have to pause when he finally takes off? Think about it, since he is past the stop bar then he is already in the intersection and I am stopped at the stop bar. I've stopped and if there is no traffic then I should be able to go as well.
2. I remember that a designated right turn lane yields to an intersection. Therefore, do you have to stop at a red light in a designated right turn only lane if there is no oncoming traffic?

1. You could probably go since you were already at the stop sign but not everyone else would think that, so just to be on the safe side and make sure no one else is pulling out it'd be best to wait.
2. And yeah you have to stop at the stop light.

1. dunno. if a cop sees you he might not even notice what you did and think you ran the sign.
2. if you're talking about the "right lane must turn right" lanes...then yes you do still have to stop. if you're talking about those lanes that have a small concrete divider between the straight lane and the right lane that sorta veres off to the right and says "yield" then im pretty sure you don't have to make a complete stop

^huh? you can turn right at any red light (unless posted that you cant) as long as you make a complete stop....unless its one of those yield things...
You are required to stop at any signal that requires you to do so. As far as the vehicle that has stopped past the stop sign, even if it was legal, it is probably not a good idea to take right off after him. He may have been cutting it close and then with you right behind him, you may not have enough time to accelerate to match the speed of oncoming traffic. So yea, probably wise to stop and look both ways.
