Carbon Fiber Hood problem.
Well just the other night i came home and my gf noticed this big as crack in the hood. Well i just had the hood re-cleared. Could this have been the result of something they did. I have had the hood for about 3 years now and never had a problem. I read on some other forums that when u sand down the hood 2 re-clear it if u go 2 far past the first layer of clear u start 2 get into the resin of the hood. Then when u clear it again and the heat from the engine heats the hood and when the hood come in contact with cold air from the weather can cause the hood 2 crack the layer of lcear. Is this true??? I just happen 2 be cold that night when i happen. Any info on this is greatly appriciated.
This happened to my hood to! I have a NIN AA EVO style hood on my 2002 EX. The big vent in the middle had a bunch of cracks around it from where the heat from the turbo is coming out????? WHY??? It looks so bad. And i havent even drivin it in really cold weather either? And to top it all off...NIN wont even give me a call back? Anyone know of another number that i can call??? Help us out! lol

Naw u should get one. I have had mine for 3 years like i said with no problems. Its just when i had it re-cleared i think they went 2 far into the clear and got into teh resin. Does anybody know if what happen could cause the hood 2 crack from being heated up and then hit by the cold??
