Change Manual Transmission Fluid

So this weekend I turned 60k miles and changed the tranny fluid. After reading several posts I decided to use the Red Line. I go to the autoparts store with my 17 month old son Michael (the nose-picker in my avatar) who is fascinated by all of the colors and easily accesible boxes... Since never having used Red Line, I look around and with Michael pulling and grabbing and wrenching, I find Red Line and get two quarts.

Well, in my haste, I purchased 5W30 oil. Didn't think anything of it since I used motor oil in my 90 Civic that lasted over 300K miles. So now I see that there is Red Line MTL and that oil should not be used since it "can cause stiffer shifting because it does not contain the proper additives."

So should I drain and refill with MTL or leave the 5W30 and just change it sooner than usual? The shifting is unbelievably much smoother now. And the Red Line is synthetic oil, so does it "contain the proper additives?" I understand MTL is better designed for this application, but the 5W30 shouldn't kill the tranny should it?

Ideally, use Honda MTF because it supposedly has additives in it specially intended for Honda synchros. Truth to it, I don't know, but I use it because I'll take their word for it.
All MTF is is oil with extra **** in it. So using synthetic oil should be fine, but I would change it earlier than usual and go back to MTF.

Bires is an unknown quantity at this point
I use Redline MTL is all my cars, and I can detect reduced resistance in the harder to get gears 2-->3, 4-->5.

hotrodcivic2004 should not be trusted
dont use anythign except honda mtf....honda transmissions are higher friction transmissions then others so the honda fluid has their own 'special sauce' that they want in there.
