Does this actually work?
I just got a ticket for speeding 95 in a 65... that sneaky cop
anyways. i heard that if you pay the ticket off with a couple of dollars extra, the court will send you the couple of dollars back. then you are supposed to rip that check up and boom the case is never settled and points dont go on your record and insurance doesnt go up!
is this an urban legend?

No, but I know a way to get out of any ticket...when you get pulled over, turn off car, turn on dome light, put keys on dash, roll down window, and put hands at 10 and 2. I used this the other day, it means you are a relative on someone in the force. If they ask you if you have someone in your family in the force say, "Yes I have an uncle who is a State Trooper in (insert different state). Don't give him any names, b/c if you do he can go run the name in the car. Works 99.99% of the time, I used it to get out of a ticket in Colorado on my ski trip I went on. I was like yes I have an uncle that is a state trooper in Ohio. I am from Texas, no ticket.

something i learned in a law class, beating a ticket is always about putting doubt in mind. u dont necessarly have to prove anything. as long as there is reasonable doubt. mostly they might just make u pay the fine, but not add to ur points on license

No you don't create reasonable doubt just by stating that he didn't get you on radar.
The officer will go to court and state that they have taken classes on how to estimated vehicles speeds (I think up to 5 mph difference). This class has to be taken every year by them.
I had the same thing happened to me and I tried the same thing as you but it failed. Good luck with your case.
