Impressed a 4.6L Mustang owner.
Me and a fellow classmate in my automotive program have been installing my new ACT HD00 clutch for the past few days and we finally finised today. After getting her out and warmed up, i figured i'd do a quick 0-80mph run w/ this dude in the car. We were at a stop light with a vaccant mile of road ahead of us. So i dumped the clutch and shut down at 80. We get back to the shop and he was like, "yeah, for a 4cylinder, she's got it goin on!"

From the Author of the Clutch install DIY:
He installed the same HD00 clutch and is running 10lbs on an SF kit.
I ran it moderatly for less then 15secs @ 6lbs, chill out.

yeah the thing is that it may and it may not go bad. If you did mess it up (which most likley you did not or you would know it) that is it there is no half way about it you will have a new clutch that took alot of effort to install that slips. To me it is worth waiting 600 miles to drop the clutch.

i didn't literally DUMP the clutch in 1st. You have the HD00, you know how hard that pressure plate hits when trying to be easy on it. Thats what i was referring to when i said "dump". Sorry, but it probably wasn't the best term to use.

but i already knew about breaking it in. Letting on it for a few secs (i wasn't WOT) won't kill it. I only did it once just to get a rise outta the mustang dude, and don't plan on doing it again til' 500+miles later
Everyone's just so quick to flame and assume, you guys should know me by now, i'm no n00b.
