Plasma BOOSTER on 2001 civic, anyone??

Has anyone installed the plasma booster on a 2001 civic. If so, and info? How has it improved your civic? Do you feel a big difference? Where did you buy it from, and how much? thanks guys

hotrodcivic2004 should not be trusted
i've heard they are junk unless u r planning on some heavy modifications. all it does is improve the strength of the spark for a better burn and give u a smoother idle. i wouldnt recomend them for just bolt ons. i hear to get iridium spark plugs, thats the way to go.

Some one had the plasma coils and one broke in a couple months. Not worth the money for hardly any gain.

^^^ but he said that he droped it and they would not replace it for him droping it, i saw a magazine articale about a year back and they put some on a stock rsx and it gave it 5.6 hp to the wheels, and i have not read any complants from personal excperence except not to drop them. i to am thinking about geting the " when i actualy have money" oww and i have iredium spark plugs and all it does to help is make your car run smother.

Unless you are having misfires there is no need for any type of spark booster in a modern street car. As long as there is a reliable spark, which all coil-over-plug like our Civic has, the spark will be able ignite the fuel reliably. It will not improve your fuel economy nor improve your power. The only exception to this rule is if you have an extremely high compression/turbocharge/supercharge engine where the high cylinder pressure requires high octane fuel. Remember higher octane fuel is more resistant to ignition. Then in such a case a spark booster may be recommended for RELIABLE ignition.

That's exactly right!! My friend put the plasma boosters on his 2002 and it didn't do crap for the car as far as power was concerned... He had just basic bolt-on's by-the-way....It did smooth out the idle, but ask yourself, is it for the money just for a smooth idle???
