01 civic problems?
01 civic problems?
hey guys...i need some help rite now... my gf's car passenger side window isn't work at all, i was just wondering if anyone noe what the problem is..and if anyone has gone thru this problem...
here are some specs of her car just incase its needed
01 civic ex 4 door
does have tints on all windows
car is about 28,000 miles
here is the window problem:
even wid the master control on the driver side, i'm still unable to roll the window down from the front passenger side, everything works fine and all windows works accordingly (beside the front passenger)
the sunroof works, even the "window lock" on the driver side works too...
so what's the problem?? is there a recall for the window switch? or loose wires?? damage wires?? any help is appreciated
thanx in advance

it could be the wiring or maybe the motor. a trick i saw my dad do was take the inner part of the door apart so you can see all the mechanics of the power window and hit the motor with a hammer and the power window would work again. tho i've only seen him do this on chevy's and oldsmobile. don't know if that'll work on a honda.
I've had the same passenger side window go dead on my 01 sedan.
If either the driver's master switch or the passenger side switch is dead, then it won't work at all.
Doesn't matter if its just one switch, the system seems to go in a round circuit so if one switch dies then the rest is useless too.
I would put your nose in both the drivers side and passenger side switch and see if there is any kind of burning smell.
The passenger switch on the driver's side went bad and fried on my car.

mine does that sometimes too. sometimes when i roll a window up the button will stick in the "up" position - then when i come back to roll it down it won't work. my solution sounds dumb but its always worked for me........ all i do is repeatedly push the down button like im trying to roll the window down inch by inch "click click click click"- after about a minute it will just work like normal and not have a problem until the button sticks again.
hahaha...wow i read that and im thinking - this isn't gunna help this guy....but...its what i do - so maybe you should try i
