civic vs focus
civic vs focus
Alrite in my school this kid with a ford focus thinks he's **** wiht his ford POS focus....
He says his focus has a better retail than my civic and would last longer LMAO....
Anyways he has an all stock focus 4 door SE and I have an all stock Civic LX sedan... and he wants to race me.... both of us are automatics... ( i kno autos arent race cars and personally i dont race but i want to shut him down) what do you think the chance of me beating him is?

The civic does, have a more refined chassis than the focus, just that out of the box, the civic doesn't have the suspension to take advantage of it.

If it's a Focus SE, then it more than likely has the SPI 2.0 in there (2.0 SOHC Motor, split port injection, and has 115 hp at flywheel). Which is equivalent of the civic d17a1 motor (minus the displacement). If it was the Zetech motor (like I had in my ZX3) then you would have no chance, but that weak motor and that heavy car may give you a slight chance. (i use the term heavy very loosely). It will be a driver race.. well considering it's an automatic, it's whoever can hit that gas first and which car will down shift first.
But don't do anything illegal, if he wants to prove himself he can do it at the track with you.

The focus is comparable to the old escort IMO. Just a pos econo box like a hyundai or a kia...our civics are econo boxes too, but the difference between our cars and those, ours are much cleaner, stylish, and much more reliable.
