gauge cluster swap but in Canada...
ok since we canada and the states have different models...let me put this like this, and I'll be really specific....
ok I have a 2001 Honda Civic Si (USA EX)...now I need to change my cluster (burned my cluster due to a stupid little mistake when wiring my deck and monitor), at this point I'll take any year, because I cant find any 01-04 clusters from a Civic Si (USA EX)...
a direct swap would be 2001 Si and 2002 Si...however!!! I love the 03-05 clusters....
which models, in both the 2 door and 4 door versions would be compatible with my car in regards to not having any extra wires, or lights not showing up or showing up when they shouldn't...
I hope that made sense...
THANX!!!!

01 and 02 dx, lx and ex (your si) sedan or coupe gauge clusters will work. Plug and play. 03+ is out of the question unless you have a wiring background

which he doesn't since he messed up wiring in the first place to fry to first one
but 01-02 are direct swap, and if you get a MPH guage, then just take out the plastic from your CAN cluster and replace with the AMERICAN... ect ect..
Enjoy

ok to get this straight here's exactly what happen....the harness from our cars has a red wire and black and red wire...red=dimmer, which equals orange/white on the aftermarket harness...red/black wire=illumination wire, which equals orange wire on the aftermarket harness...my deck's ILL wire, and my LCD monitor's ILL wire are both orange/white...
a couple of months back when I hooked up my screen I rewired the screen and deck wire...I accidently wired the deck and monitor ILL wire to the orange and white wire on the harness which happens to be the DIMMER wire...and thats a no no...simple mistake, stupid but innocent....but *** maybe the aftermarket harness wire that is ILLUMINATION should be orange and white....would save a lot of people some trouble cuz apparently this happens quite often

check your fuse first, If that equaled a short, then the fuse should have just went, you can rewire everything correctly and go on with your business.
Otherwise, you can take apart your cluster, and test the transistors and caps to see if anyone of them blew. If so, desolder it, buy replacement part, and fix
simple as that, but if you dont want to do something like that then, umm....
you can sell me your plastic cluster cover
because mine cracked.
but, check the fuses first.
