Reverb 6 disc replacement
Does anyone know if the upgraded Civic Reverb or EX 6 disc in-dash changer deck fit a 2002 - 2004 Hatch Si(R)?
The deck in my car is a double din height, but the right side (passenger) is not square. The upper right corner is stretched towards the right (passenger) side.
I want to replace my single CD with an OEM deck.

I'm pretty sure the radio will fit but you have to remember, they redesigned the centre console a little so the radio sits flush. If you put that deck in your car, the centre console won't look that pretty around the radio.
BTW... you do realize that deck is $800 from Honda don't you?

I didn't realize that the deck was that much
, but I have seen a few from wreckers for $150 - $300. The only thing I'm worried about is if there is a anti-theft code and how to get it.
I'm assuming that the Reverb in dash 6 disc stereo is the same as the upgradable units from Honda on all the 7th gen civics. So it shouldn't matter what year I get.

That's pretty sweet. Is that your car? Is the sound quality a lot better than the stock deck?
I see what you mean about the deck now. It seems to be recesed a bit and it is a perfectly square double din size. The dash surround for the HVAC and stereo is different. Mine is silver and has a none square radio.
Do you know if the stereo has a anti-theft code?

That's not my car so I couldn't really tell you about sound quality but I do know they have a Honda Security Code.
I'm also pretty curious how it sounds compared to the regular OEM ones and what the watt output is on these..
My buddy works at honda, maybe I can test drive one and see how they sound.

I just bought an '05 with that deck and i think it sounds pretty good. i had an '03 dx with a factory single cd player, and there's no comparison between the two.....of course the new car has 6 speakers too though......
