B&G's vs. Tein Basics vs. Omni Power

The Omni's arent out yet...but they are on my vs'. as a "wait until they come out to buy my new coilovers"

the most important thing for me is ride comfort...I dont want bouncey **** and I dont want to bottom out if Im at 1 finger gap to no gap....what do u guys think???

my car isnt used at all to race no autox nothing, I just wanna lower it but not have that harsh ride...

if anything compare the older omni power coilovers or the ones that are used in other manufactures....

peace!

just keep in mind, all coilovers ride pretty harsh.

Maybe look into D2 coilovers.. thats what I have, you can get them from www.urbanimport.com

thats not completely true....coilover sleeves yeah, but thats because people use stock shocks....I've heard GREAT things about the Tein's and B&G for ride comfort...Im just trying to find out which would be better in that aspect

Had Tein ss for couple months and ride quality was good but defintley stiff.
Ride comfort is obviously nicer than oem shocks with spring setup, that's what most of fullcoilover setup owners had previously.

Personally, waiting for omni.
I don't need adjustable dampening setup for street use.
Rather save $200-300 and put toward better tires.

just to let you know i was in your boat i couple of weeks ago and i picked to order the B+G coilovers becaues there what i was lookin for just like you to ride comfort and not to bouncy becaues i had ebay adjustable springs and i hated them.

i was looking like for two years for a set of coilovers and i picked the best one that fit me.

plus i got a hella good price

I have a quick question. If I'm just going for a lowered car with a somewhat smooth ride and I'm just going to ride like the average person; should I just get springs with OEM shocks, springs and shocks, or full coilover set???

depends on how low u want. basically anything less than 1.5" or so, you can just get some springs and leave the stock shocks.. but if you want to lower it for 2", u would need to get some aftermarket shocks. I think if you lower it for like 2", the tokico blues aren't really good for it, so u would need to get the konis, which would then add it to the springs, u might as well get a set of full coilovers for a bit more.
correct me if i am wrong, i am noob at suspension, lol.

Can i get the website for that B&G coilovers? or did u buy it off from private seller? I've been looking for B&G for quite somtime (little over 1 year) but still cant find good price.... I somtimes i think i better off with Skunk or Tein SS... but I've done my research and B&G is the best coilovers out there for our vics. Did u have to do extra mods while installing the coilovers?

Anybody out there that is considering a full coilover suspension should wait for the Omni's. They will be out very soon and will definitely be the best deal in their price range. We will be one of the first dealers to have them in stock.

Best deal in the price range but would they be better then say Tein Basics which would be about 150-200 more...I dont know about other people but I wouldnt mind paying the extra money for something better, and thats tested and proven...

but the Omni's look soooo damn sexy, and they look like they are built soooo good...also wasnt there a issue with the spring rating being soooo high, making for an extremely firm ride, that probably wouldnt be great for road use...

I for one am more interested in comfort/smooth ride over performance, my car will never see a race track....

if what other people are saying about the Omni's on their rides applies to our Civics then Im probably gonna want a set of these....

To answer your original question... B&G's are on the Low end of spring rates, so they will give you a more comfortable ride then the Teins.... the Teins should make the car handle better though.

does anyone know if we need to buy the top mounts for 02+ civics if we get the omni? i have a 04 and i would barely be able to afford coilovers let alone buying more parts.

some1 please make a review of d omni coilovers,, their spring rates are close to JICS,, if i can remember, their street rates 10k 8k and then sport rates 12k 10k,, so does it mean its going to be harsh? i get confused when people mention "stiff" about omnis.

if ur gonna spend that much money on suspension and only have enough money to do it once dont go out and by the omni as soon as they come out. remember the problems with the hayame coilovers when they 1st came out, a bunch of people hopped on the band wagon and ended up not happy with their decision. not saying that the omnis arent gonna be great coilovers, its just better to be safe than sorry especially if ur gonna spend that much money on them.

i have b&g and love em to death. they handle good and allow you to go extremely low. since that was what i wanted they work great for me. 2k2EXCOUPE has 19's on his car so when you go that low with that big of rims u can expect to have a crappy ride.

so if you want a good street coilover that will go really low get b&g, but if your more interested in performce go with tein. or u can wait for the omnis to come out and someone to write a review on them
