Return Fuel system question ...

well, I'm trying to do my own return fuel system and after reading the DIY that's posted I have some questions ... What size (diamater and length) braided lines should I use?? I have the fuel pump already and will be getting the other parts soon, so I just need to know what size lines to use .... I'd really like to get SLP's kit but I don't have $770 including shipping for it =(

I used 4an line. call summit for the adapter for your exsisting hardline. it all depends on what stuff you are using. aeromotive fp regs i believe use 6 an. i rigged mine up by just welding on half couplings that were smaller because i couldnt get the correct fittings. I used 6an aluminum line under the car till i got to the tank then went braided again. I also made a custom fuel rail. Im putting a pic out to give you an idea of my setup. yours may be entirely different. theres a few different ways to set it up.

If your doing a return style conversion you will need some fuel hose inside the tank as seen in Opto_isolator's post. If you use standard fuel injection hose it will bubble and come apart after being soaked in fuel. Gates has JUST come out with a submirsable (sp) fuel hose that wont bubble or deteriate from being IN the fuel
