removing lower front control arms.....?
i know ima take wheels off
jack up..
jack stands
3 bolts(under knuckles, front/rear)
im WORRRIED about my CV's and etc... i just dont want once i take the control arm off the suspension to bow out and pop a cv outa whack.... ive had alot of CV probs so this is why im concerned.. im basicaly asking if i take off the control arm and let everything just "hang" from the B&G strut... it should be fine right?
its gon be off for about 3 hours.. while i get bushings pressed in and poly ones put in. and then ima put em back on.
i just wanted to make sure thanx..
i knowtheir has to be at least 5/6 people who have taken off their arms

Well the Strut will still be firmly attached to the Knuckle, and the Axle will also be attached to the knuckle... so I dont think you'll have any problems. I konw I didnt when I did mine.

i just hate taking stuff apart its not that i cant do it.. just i dont wanna accidentally not notice something and mess it up.. i.e sway bar... where does the sway bar connect to? im guessing control arm...what else has to come off in order to take em off.. i know im getting annoying but i like to prepare myself for these things..

Ya, Your going to have to disconnect the sway bars at the end links, You can see it in the 1st Pic. and ya, I swaped out rotors and pads when I did my bushings too.
A word of warning... the contol arms can be a Pain to get back in...

im guessing that the new bushings are a snug fit... so nothing a mini sledge wouldnt hurt...
im only worried about the pivotal bolt under knuckles.. cause i always have a bitch of a time on my tie rod ones... i guess i could use some red lube or w/e on em..

well i'm not surprised with 19's and what's that, a 2.5", 3" drop.
if i were you i'd have my whole suspension replaced with something that can handle that size rim and drop. performance struts and springs won't cut it with those specs, especially if your car is an everyday driver.

what i mean by your whole suspension (eg. front and rear control arms, ball joints, tie bars, bushings, etc.) it won't be long before your stock components start to give you problems, especially with extremely large rims and low drops. a serious problem with your setup is the high possibility of a cracked chassis. but don't take my word for it, check it out with your mechanic.

large rims have nothing to do w/ it.. my wheels have same rotational mass as a set of oem wheels.. so thts not an issue.. now the lowering i can understand.. but lowering affects shocks etc which are full replacement.. and oter than that they affect bushings which will be replaced. the axles are fine took em to a CV place and since my tein has camber adjustment they arent at such a weird angle anymore.thanx for help tho.
TRUST ME, large rims have a lot to do with how long your suspension last. Larger rims on Civics have less tire and therefore have a much stiffer sidewall which makes the ride very stiff. everytime you go over a bump in the road your suspension works much harder, therefore wearing it out quicker, especially if you're running on stock components. i'm no mechanic but a good friend of mine is, and he told me the same thing for my car and i'm running 18's and a 1.75 neuspeed sport drop with tokico struts. i also have a sedan like you.
