Insurance Question

Does anyone know if my car has some kind of flood/water damage coverage? I have full coverage, but is that a different plan that needed to be added? I got stuck in a freakin wash and my car is jacked up. Exhaust packed with mud, wheels/wheel wells stuffed with mud, interior has/had about about 6 inches of water/mud/sand in there and my engine bay is packed also, even found a piece of cactus in there

my wife says:
"its covered by comprehensive. if you drove into the wash it might go under 'at fault' but it will be covered. anything that is not an accident is covered under comprehensive"

cool, thanks for asking Alex. I just have to wait til Tuesday to get an estimate on the damage. I'm thinking I should just take it to a Honda dealership to get it all fixed. Does anyone else think differently, if so, why? My deductible is $500 so that's not too bad, seeing that most of my interior will have to be replaced. Does anyone know if I would get a check for the damage, or do they just pay the place I get it done at? Like, could I buy some racing seats or something instead of having to get new stock seats? stuff like that. same with the fenders and bumpers.

ok heres what you do, take it to honda and get the estimate, turn that estimate into your insurance company, have insurance company cut you a check, take it to a shop and get it done cheaper, or by rsx interior and a new carpet kit, or sparcos and have your rear seat re stitched to match or just pocket some cash.

well, I have to wait until Wed. afternoon or Thurs. to find out if my car will be totaled out. I'm kinda half and half on that idea right now.
Positives
I get a new car(faster! haha)
Don't have to pay $20 a day for rental car(my policy doesn't cover rentals)

Negatives
I have about $12K into my car already(not mods, payments)
It's my Vic! Need I say more?
