Short Shift Adapter
My understanding is that a short shifter is so inexpensive and easy to install, it makes no sense to only get the adapter. I would have one right now except that there is a serious backorder on those spiffy bushings...

I have the Revo that replaces the entire shifter. I've had mine long enough that I can't tell the difference until I go drive someone else's car or test drive a car--then I can definitely tell the difference. My friends who don't have short shifters can instantly tell I have one when they drive my car--then they start looking for short shifters for their cars, too. Another plus is that before, I had to take my arm off of the armrest to shift into 1,3,5--now I can keep my arm on the armrest and shift through the gears just by flicking my wrist. Probably doesn't make a performance difference, but it does make an aesthetic difference. The aluminum brushings and rubber washers that you can get from people on this site really help make the shifts feel more solid.

The reason why he has an adapter instead of a true SS'r is due to the tranny... any prelude or accord will be a cable tranny that can only take an adapter. An adapter will never feel as good or shorten the throws like a true SS'r

I have the "top speed" branded one off e-bay. I had to grind it a little with a file to make it fit over the weld properly (whick I kinda like cause it fits real snuggly). When I first installed it I REALLY noticed it, seemed alot shorter. Now a few months later I barley notice anymore (BUT like some one else said, If i drive someone elses car I really notice then). I figured for less than $25 shipped what could I lose. All in all I am happy with it.

I like the Revo SS. Was my main X-Mas present from my mom. I love it, much faster shifts. It always felt like there was a little too much between the shifts.
