Well I encountered my first Problem with 2005
I have a 2005 Si Sedan and yesterday when I goit out of the car I noticed that a really loud buzzing whinning noise was comming from the front of the car. When I got home in the garage I opened the hood and it seemed that it was the alternator that was the culprit.. BTW the car has 7000kms on it its brand new... So this morning I went to Honda and they were really great man the mechanic was so kool and they took my car in right away..45 minutes later the mechanic came to see me and brought me in the garage and showed me the problem..it seems that the bearings in the AC compressor pulley are shot???????????WTF now thats weird and he also said that it was a weird problem..anyways he said its no charge and ordered the parts..
BTW the mechanic even took the time to explain vtec engines and all the different Vtec vehicals out there....
Air compressor pulley bearings shot now thats weird....

Yeah at 7500km's thats bizarre man the car is brand new...I think I may have went into a really deep puddle of water almost a river and that might have done that damage ...Oh well its under warranty
It sounds familiar to me
The day before Halloween I took my '03 Civic in for an oil change (24,000 km). That afternoon I went for a little ride (~150km). While driving I heard a loud noise - I knew I didn't drive over anything. In the interest of space, I'll try to keep this short. AC Compressor seized, AC clutch needed replacing, alternator replaced. Done under warranty at local dealer. Two weeks later battery completely dead. Dealer replaced battery. Day after that, new battery dead. When boosted by dealer, AC started to go again. Dealer contacted Honda Canada, and they pointed to the fuse box, which was replaced. So far so good - as of Dec 29th.

It's funny how honda always tries to blame aftermarket parts where in most cases it's the oem part that fails. New car or not, there is so much stuff in there that the odds are against you. I think that's mazda's logo by their service dept that says if there's 14,000 parts and 99% work, that's still 200 that fail or something...
