Trans blew and warranty company wont cover it..
My torque converter in my Automatic transmission messed up and now the extended warranty company (american Guardian) wont cover the cost because they said I have *heavily modified* my car.. and I havent. The mechanic at Aamco (where my car is) said that nothing that I have done to my car has any barring on my transmission and the warrant company is just trying to get out of it for the 2nd time. The first time i sent my paperwork stating that i had done the required maintenance on the AT and they couldnt find it on the paperwork.. i had to point it out for them.
What can I do if they still tell me they wont cover it? I am waiting for a phone call from the manager and his boss.

. Ask them to prove to you how the torque converter messed up the tranny. Then when they cant prove it, tell them to shut the **** up and fix it
. its under some law (i think the magnus law) they have to prove to you that the part caused the failure.

Plus they really dont even know what they are talking about. they sent an inspector out yesterday to inspect the car at Aamco and they said I had stuff done to my car that I dont so they are even more full of crap.
if the aftermarket part didnt cause the failure then why are dey being a bitch about it. They just dont want to spend money thats all. Keep argueing and good luck. I dont think it matters about who is in charge of the warranty. Thats a **** load of
. hopefully they honor your warranty. Man this is making me mad.

Ok then lets see what we can do about it then...If you can't and I mean can't get them to warranty it then someone on this site has to have some connections for a tranny way cheaper than that...Id intall it for free if you were in Ottawa....Its not that hard

Hey I'm in CA and I'm having tranny problems too. I have a couple of engine mods on the car and I'm kinda scared that they will void my warranty if I take my car in. Any opinions on what I should do? The car has 18xxx miles on it and its an 02'. It has gotten all the tuneups on time(not from honda). Keep me updated with your situation man.
Edit: I have an AT.

It would have to be in some sort of written documentation (ie, your contract) stating that any modifications done to the car and your warranty is void. But then there's still that federal law that they'd have to get around. I think this company is pretty screwed, one way or another. If you want, I'll help you continue to fight.

copy of warranty
ask them to send you a copy of the warranty and high-light where it says any modifications void the warranty.....if they wont,..you could always try and threaten them to goto court...
