I know im in the wrong place to post this but no one gives a **** about it at the jeep forums b/c all they care about is lifting . anyway im not trying to brag or anything b/c my jeep is **** but i have a 4.0l i-6, kandn air intake, header, and straight pipe. well this civoc newer model ex trys to swing around me on this four lane road and i see that he really wants to get by me so i floor it and blow his doors off pretty good. i was kinda surprised i beat him but i do have a 5 spd and he prob had a auto. i got up to 85 and ahd put some pretty good distance on him. i hope to sell my jeep and get an si sometime but i odnt know the best year? the only reason i posted this is i though it was funny.

hmm... well jeeps have some power... and a 5-speed jeep can put that power to the ground. Even if it was a 5-speed civic, he still had no chance. Also, you have a 6 he's got a 4... big difference in power.

i know but i bet i about blew his ears out b/c i have it dueled right under the both passenger doors toward the tires. i also have no cats on there. lol i plan on selling it soon so i am running it to the ground. i also beat my friend in hi 96 accord lx non vtec god those things are slow. i think a properly driven civic 5 spd could beat it.

It depends on what year, the current one redlines at around 8K (not exactly sure), but the older models redline at 9K.

and yes, a 5 speed Civic should be able to beat an old Accord LX (and sometimes EX) of that generation.

model year 1999-2004 redlines at 9000rpm.

the newest 2005+ models redline at 8300rpm i believe

yea i know what you mean you either like domestics or you dont. I would love to have a japanese car but i dont know much abot them. i can tell you one thing though i owuld take a honda any day over a dodge. it seems like every dodge i see has smoke pouring out of them lol. what do you think of the rsx-s are they a good car and can they be upgraded/ do they respond to mods well. also which one would you choose an subaru sti/lancer are they pretty reliable. I am getting a new car soon and i have it narrowd dowon to the gto/sti/evo. i knoe the sti/ evo can beat the gto from a dig b/c of awd. but from a roll the 05 gto would spank one prett good. Ive always liked how the subaru looked is it pretty cheap and easy to make that car go fast>? sorry for all of the questions just trying to find a fast realiable car. oh btw them main reason im on here is b/c my friend has a 01 civic ex. i just like to come on here to tell him about anything cool he can do to his car. thanks again. jim oh btw nice s2000. waht mods do you have besides nos. do you have an exhasut or anything?

well, cant really compare a GTO with an Sti and Evo.... and it's even hard to compare an Sti and Evo. It's easy to make any one of those cars fast.... but they are fast already. Mmmm..... GTO's arent selling well at all.... I think mostly b/c of style, I prefer the Holden look over the Pontiac look.
