Ever heard of Honda Care Extended Warranty?

Hey guys,

Well my 02 Civic Ex w/ 28,500 miles factory warranty will be expiring soon. So with that being said, I called up my dealer in my town on how much an extended warranty would be & the guy said somewhere around $1000-$1,500. Thats alot of money!

So I looked around on the internet and found a website for the Honda Care Extended Warranty..... for 5yrs. 75,000 miles it'll cost me like $750. It seems to cover everything in case something goes wrong with my car.

Anyone ever heard of this? What kind of warranty are you using or do you recommend? Thanks guys!

Yeah, I've heard of it. They asked me if i wanted it when I got my civic in May. My cousin just bought his 05 civic coupe EX last week and he got that extended warranty. Tho he paid $1000 for a 6 yr/100,000 miles. If I had money I would get it just in case something does happen but on the other hand its a honda. If you got the money to dish out, then get it just in case something MIGHT happen that the warranty covers.

If you're going to slap on a turbo or do an engine swap its a waste of money...otherwise I would recommend getting it - I did.

I also got the 100,000mi extended warranty because I knew I wasn't going to do any extensive mods to my car. I like knowing that if the a/c, power windows, sunroof, speed control, guage lights, spoiler leds, radio, power steering, master brake cylinder, water pump, etc. goes out between now and 2010, I can take it in and say "fix it."

Extended Warranty

I got my extended warranty from AAA. I paid $450 for 5 year 85,000 miles. I thought it was a good deal. It is a bumper to bumper or what they call their "gold" extended warranty. They were not concerned with aftermarket parts. They only down side is that it has a deductable. $150 if I go to a non AAA approved repair center, and $75 if it is AAA approved. Well I am at 63,000 miles and I havent used it yet. That is my 2 cents.
