elitecivicex01 has it...(joey) one of my good friends.. It sounds amazing.. not a raspy rice can... not to loud not to quiet... no real gains outa it because its a civic but yea... good stuff..
i had the megan test pipe on my ex for almost 4 months now and im partly satisfied with it. the only con was the fitment... i installed this piece with my OEM header and OEM exhaust and it was harsh.. in order to make this work with ur OEM header, you have to cut the coil springs that are in-between the header/downpipe. other than that, very great product for its price.
results = better throttle response and flows more freely, adds a higher tone level of sound to your exhaust, cel light WILL go off but an o2 simulator will prevent that, more exhaust fumes but not a biggie.

I have the Megan downpipe and the cat-back. The downpipe fit perfectly. The cat-back I like alot except for a few problems I had in the beginning. Its a good thing I had the muffler shop put it on because it didnt align right or fit right for that matter very well. The mechanic had to heat up and bend the piping in certain spots to get it to fit right. He didnt hurt the mandrel bends at all by doing this but its just the fact of the matter. Another problem is one I havent even gotten around to fixing yet. The cat-back comes in 3 pieces instead of 2. Because of this I have a flange kinda centered in the middle of the car that tends to scrape on things like speed bumps for example. I have to be really careful until I can get my lazy *** around to the muffler shop so that they can cut the flange off so that it doesnt scrape things as much and splice a short piece of pipe in its place. The sound is ok, after it has broken in, it seems to be a little raspy when vtec kicks in, but all through out most of the rpm range it has a low deep tone. Mine is somewhat loud when I punch it because I have the downpipe of course. Those who dont have the downpipe probably will have a better sound. I do suggest a downpipe though especially for those who dont have to worry about emissions and who are boosting or spraying. The outlet on your stock cat is only 1.75". Atleast thats what it is on the EXs and that sucks. Oh yeah and I'm pretty happy with the performance. I noticed a gain in power when I put the cat-back on. Maybe not anything spectacular but better than nothing and I'm happy with that.

I bought 2 of the cat back systems due to fitment issues. I thought it sounded good at first but once I got to some bumpy roads you can hear the exhaust flange bouncing off the bottom of the car. Got a replacement. Still fit like crap. Sent BOTH back and went with something completely different. Bottom line I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM IT.

Did you get a cat-back yet? If not, I bet you actually lost a couple of ponies due to the disrupted exhaust flow. Your downpipe has a 2.5" outlet mated to a flange with a 1.75" inlet on the stock exhaust pipe. I realize this because I had my setup the same way for a short time and it made my car feel a little slower actually.

dezod, do you or any other know if the random technology cat will throw off a cel (malfunction indicator lamp)?
thiscrackerntam, i noticed better flow and throttle response when i bolted on the megan hi flow cat and using the stock exhaust. but i cant wait to get a catback.

Its nice stainless steel do you think its lighter than the stock pipe. Will the catalic converter cause the sensor to go bezerk on the EX? I heard our three way catalic has to burn some stuff before releasing it back in the atmosphere and there is a sensor monitoring this.
