Bosch Oil Filter Life?
Hey everyone, I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w-30 oil in my civic ex and I usually change my oil 3,000 miles, even though the oil length is extended to 5,000 miles because it's synthetic. I haven't been able to change my oil in time, I am at about 4,000 miles now and I won't be able to change it for a couple more weeks. The oil seems to be fine when I check it, but I am a little concerning whether my oil filter will last to around 5,000 miles. I use a Bosch Premium Oil Filter, I checked the Bosch website, but I couldn't find the time span in which it lasts. Can this oil filter last me past the normal 3,000 mile oil change? Thanks.

There's no reason why your filter won't last 5,000 miles. If you were going 10,000 miles I'd be a little more concerned, but 5K is more than fine, especially for a good (non-Fram) filter.
i used the OEM honda oil filter that came with the car for 13k miles and no prob whatsoever at all. bought car brand new, ran the honda oil in the car for 2k miles, went with castrol, changed 3k, then went with mobil 1 5w-30 fully syn til today (21,xxx miles). i change my oil every 3500-4500 miles ever since
