Anybody go to the street legal drags at LACR or Irwindale?

Now that Cali dragway is closed for the season, the only tracks open now are LACR and Irwindale.

So my question is, how many runs do you usually get in at LACR(1/4 mile) or Irwindale (1/8 mile) ?

At Cali dragway the most runs I ususally get in is 4, which really sucks considering how much time you have to race (4pm-11pm). Last Sat. was the last drag day for the year and there were over 400 cars racing there; I only got in 3 runs....it was a real bummer.

Also how does their grouping system work? Do they take the cars in line and set them up in groups every 50 cars?

And If I go, should I get there early?

Thanks for your help guys.

i've been to LACR a few times... best i've pulled is 16.8... since LACR is up there with high altitude thats like a 16.3 at sea level...

best time to go is a wednesday night... you'll easily get 5+ runs... most i've ran was 9 in one night... fridays is packed so the max you'll probably get is like 3...

the way their system works is by lane.. usually lanes 5-6 is for imports... 3-4 for domestics, 1-2 for pro... and they do it by group... so like pro group goes first, then domestics race against each other, then imports race against eachother... then it starts all over again...

if you want to go on a friday, definitely go early... if wednesday, you can probably show up like 2 hours before it closes and still get a few runs in...

check out www.lacr.net for all the info i forgot
