15.710@87.32 = New member of the D17A1 15 sec club!!(UPDATED With slips pg4)

Ran at the track yesterday. Beat a 6th gen Si with I/E Vafc untuned twice.
My mods are still the same as my profile.

Several sub 16sec slips but here are my two best.
I'll try to scan them tonight.

15.710@87.32
with 2.342 60ft

15.711@87.89
with 2.338 60ft

I had some issues so there is room for improvement. Mid 15's are possible with more practice and fixing a couple problems I had.
Left front tire was wobbling real bad, hopefully just out of balance.
Missing two header bolts causing a slight leak.

So some more weight reduction, custom cold air headlight intake and hondata(if it comes out) and I'll be chasing down 14's.

As it stands now I do believe that I hold the record for the fastest ET of any D17A1 with those mods in the country??

So to all those that said I didn't beat this, shouldn't do that and flamed me for every idea or post I put on here
Thanks to all the cool people on here that actually answered my questions and took the time to see things from my prospective instead of being ignorant *******s.

And to the people on here with their mustangs, 350Z, M3's etc. I know my car is still slow, but I'm not trying to be the fastest car out there. I'm just trying to do the best with what I got and do what so many say can't be done.

i think it would help, but I want something that is gauranteed not to cause premature failure.
I actually want to run no pulley, but with the whole harmonic dampener issue I'm scarred. I have an idea I'm working on that would enable me to do this. At the least I'll eliminate the load on the crank pulley which should be good for a slight gain.
Still in the reseach and development phase.

Driver Side Back Seat 12lbs
Pass. Back seat 7lbs

Passenger rear panel 5bs
Passenger rear pillar 1lbs

Sound insulation 15-35lbs?
AC and components 50lbs?

So you're my #2 textbook ignorant ******* example.
From the drivers seat my car looks normal. Most of the things I took out came from the back. It's a little noisy but I like it. It's still a car and drives perfectly fine. Who needs a radio when I can listen to the beautiful music of my Tanabe SMR.

And I don't plan on selling the car. It will be eventually converted to a track car.
And just to further prove your ignorance if I did sell it for some unforseen circumstance. I could just put everything back since it's all sitting in my garage for just that reason.

Do what cha gotta do bro. You can say you could do this and do that, but it doesn't really matter until you can back it up. I'll be right here in Shreveport when your ready.

Ok bro Ill do what I got to do Bro. My brother stripped his 00 ex not to go fast but his interior was getting old and he wants to fit as many integra peices in it as he can. I hate driving that car all the noices make you go crazy. The tanabe smr is a ricey exaust and sounds gay so i dont see how listening to that would be a plus. I was just at sema for a week showing the ample audio 4runner which was built by my brothers shop. Im sure that it gets far more credit and looks than your 15 second civic. I can back up what im saying i just need to go to Seals sometime to refill my bottle havent used it in months. From your post i dont see a timeslip to back up your time so your in the same boat as me. Where the hell is Shreveport how about the pomona drags. Dont get to crazy with your "track" civic. I just posted this to prevent other people from taring apart their cars to run 15.7 adding to the ricer movement. You are a ricer plain and simple believe it or not.

Here we go again.
#1 It's not for everyone I can say that.
#2 I don't care about your brother and what he's got or his shop.
#3 I'm not into the show thing or to be the best looking. That kinda **** around here will get your car jacked quick.
#4 I never said 15 sec car was fastest thing out there, but for the minimal mods I have done I think it's pretty impressive. Not to mention there is still room for improvement.
#5 Never said it was a track civic yet. Since I am in the military I don't make a lot of money so it will be a slow transition over a period of years.
#6 Ricer? That's funny. If rims, springs, I/H/E make me a ricer than your calling 90% of the people on this site Ricers.

Why don't you enlighten me on what you drive and your mods, since you have nothing listed in your profile.
You said 25 shot with ac on and two people in the car. If your man enough to run your mouth then come down here to Shreveport LA and back it up. No more internet BS. Otherwise drop it.

I'm gonna fabricate a temporary extension and pop the headlight at the track to feed cold air. Eventually when I get all the issues squared away I will run it through the headlight, but that's another saga.

Thanks to all for the props

well, seeing as how people have given his civic props in this thread shows that they do care

you work with what you get. any 350z member, for example, is gonna bash on your civic no matter what you have done ... k20 turbo whatever ... because it's still a civic.

you haven't really proven anything other than the fact that you are closed minded

stripping out the interior, poppin out the headlight, sounds like a ricer to me, go the extra mile and do what sport compact car did and take it all off, glass, roof, parts of the frame and what not, cause thats the only way ull hit 14's with out FI. droping .7-1.0 seconds off ur time is gonna take more than making a custom ram air and adding hondata if and when that comes out.

but hey just cause u might be a ricer doesnt mean that a 15.7 isnt a good time.

Thanks I guess? But that's exactly what I want to hear. Someone telling me it can't be done. Just motivates me more. With a set of drag radials it could be done. I said I was gonna get the zex kit after I hit 15's, but I like a challenge and have decided to wait until I hit 14's. I'll make sure I have someone with video the day that comes.

Details:
58 degrees with overcast
Perfect conditions IMO
stock 14" wheel/tire up front at 22psi
17's in back at 42psi

I know this is gonna sound like BS but I can't get my scanner to work(Missing the Driver and it's gonna take forever to download with dial up) and I can't get a hold of my friend. I promise I will have the slips by tomorrow night. Sorry
