I think dwi and dui is the same thing...
but just to make sure i got things straight... if your under 17 and caught driving but you fall below the .08 on the breathalyzer, would you go to jail?
But it's ok to drive if you hit below .08 and you are 18?
My friends were asking me these questions and i thought some body would know on this site.

Seriously, if there's any amount of alcohol in your blood and you're under the legal age.. AND you get pulled over...you should have your ***** cut off for being such a dumbass.

Making stupid drunk kids get circumsized would be an excellent way to make them stop drinking.

Most likely whoever gave you the alcohol would be the one in trouble since you are a minor. You NEVER tell where you came from unless you want someone else going to jail for your stupidity...meaning...you got behind the wheel...drove drunk...and hopefully made it home.

i know in va we have this zero tolerance thing going...if youre under 21 and you get caught with over either .01 or .02 you get your license taken...car impounded and charged with dui (driving under the influence)...


and also dwi and dui are not the same thing...

dwi - driving while intoxicated is over .08 here in va

dui - you can get if you have any amount alcohol in your system and its the officers decision on whether he thinks you can handle your alcohol...you can also get this if youre driving while high...its the officers discretion

cops can't give you any kind of test to tell your high, and even if they locked you up and made you take a **** test (which i'm not sure is legal without some other reason like wreckless driving) even if the **** test came out positive i still don't know of any test that will prove you were high at the time of operating the vehicle. now if you just gone done smoking and he pulls you over and it reeks... thats another situation, but just because your eyes are hazy doesn't mean ****.

if he pulls you over and has reason to believe that you are high they can take you home right then....then schedule a blood/**** test and if you have whatever that chemical is in your blood, then they can charge you....one of my best friends had this happen in high school....if they did that illegally then i guess youre right...but im just going on experience...or his experience rather

mip, i believe, is when you are caught 10ft from any alcoholic beverage... and btw, if you do find yourself driving drunk[there are alot of condition where this will happen] Do not take any fukcing sobriety test or tell the cop you have been drinking or anything... in that case, the worse that can happen is you'll go to jail that night and get a lawyer.. you don't want a fukin dwi or dui on your record

well i'm 18, so i don't think they will take me home, and if they can't take you home, then they would take you to jail. and i don't think they can take you to jail unless they have an obvious reason like you smell like green or something. if your eyes are just red, they could be pulling you into jail for having a cold, which would obviously lead to some court action. and if they do find THC in your blood? wtf do they charge you with? i know when i was in highschool and myself and punk buddies were on probation, if you failed a drop for having THC in it, no charges were brought against you, eventually if you CONTINUED to fail your probation would increase or become more severe, but they never filed a charge for having THC in your system. I don't think you can be charged off of a drug test because of the same situation that happens with cigarettes, if cigarettes were illegal and you were found to have nicotine in your system, who's to say thats not from second hand (involuntary/passive) smoking. of course feel free to correct me, cuz i'm not sure of whats in the books on this, but from logic i would think it would work this way. while it wouldn't work for cigarettes/marijuana, those kind of charges i think would apply to drugs that you take intravenously, like heroin, but i doubt bud.

of course if your in highschool the rules are different, especially if your caught at school. they have reign on you when your a minor.

logic doesn't work in the courts... why? becuase if a judge use 'logic' he would not be going by the constitution... that is why you could get away with drinking n driving...and even murder in some cases

yea i was going to add in logic doesn't work in courts, i figured most people assume that since we see the effects of crazy laws every day. and i believe haxedupinc was talking to me about the weed smoking thing not you.


but since you want to call me an idiot, because i do smoke....... i'd say if this is a fight you just punched your self in the face, because only an idiot would say something stupid like that. i would ask you why you think that, but i'd be confident enough to place some real cash that you have no rational explination why people who smoke weed are idiots. and there are definately some weed smokers out their who are way smarter then you, heh, i don't even know you, so i guess i don't really know how smart you are, but just from what you said in your first line about us being idiots, is enough for me to place bob marley higher on the intellectual chain than you. maybe your mommy and daddy said drugs are bad when you were young, or maybe your just scared of getting 'high', but you posted some story in the drunk thread so I'm sure your not afraid of a buzz. What else is there to set it apart from alcohol? that it's illegal? so are some u-turns and pissing on the side of a road, but it still happens. sorry to steal the thread, if anything that gets to me, its people who say stupid **** like that.

yea its not healthy...but either are cigs...people who smoke obviously dont care...they should make it legal and just like make it so you cant smoke and drive and stuff....but i dont think its bad...

why is everyone assuming that driving with any level of alcohol in your system you are driving drunk? i mean say your 20 a month of turning 21 or something like that you have one beer, are you drunk? what if you weight 220 pounds? with that much mass and that little beer , are you saying there drunk? the law says you are legally intoxicated if your blood alcohol level is higher then then .08, even if you are a minor but whatever amount dont assume there drunk, i mean also waht if they used an inhaler or something else that would affect it? seriously exceptions and other things need to me made. there is no 100% all the time

I have been to numerous "drug" classes for bud. and, THC becomes inactive, meaning it can not enter your system as soon as it touches oxygen. So as soon as somebody exhales, it is no longer active. People may claim a second hand high, but they are full of it. You can create any experience with your mind, if you believe it is true, it will feel true. I have never experienced that, even when I was a new smoker, and clambaked in cars while I was not smoking. You said to correct ya, so I felt free to.

A 300 Lb person can get just as drunk as a 100 Lb person off of the exact same amount of beer. Another alcohol fact, eating food WILL NOT sober you up. It may make your stomach feel better, and than you feel better to go, but it absolutely will not make you any less drunk, or lower your alcohol count. I would think they have it pretty well thought out by now with inhalers and all of that.

most definately appreciated. but still, i can't fully believe you lol. if you have ever heard of shotgunning, where you stick the joint/blunt cherry-first into your mouth and blow the smoke through to the other end, and then the other person inhales off of that. when you do that the smoke definately hits the air and they still get high. but, it is a lot more concentrated, so possibly not all the air is getting to it. then again, bongs which aren't air tight let the weed get in the chamber and sit with the air thats already in their (especially if it has a carb and you clear it, which is essentialy bringing in fresh air) and you get high off that. i'm skeptical now that i've thought of those two things, possibly the classes you took were government endorsed? if thats the case, who knows where their curriculum about weed came from, if we all remember reefer madness...
