another o2 simulator thread

i know... but i have a specific question based on the bigjoshracing.com o2 cheater (simulator) http://www.bigjoshracing.com/store/shop/index.html
i've been running my car for few months now with the malfunction indicator lamp on (cel). i have a megan hi flow test pipe btw. i wanted to know if its too late to install an o2 simulator after months of driving with the hi flow cat on? i read a post on another thread and somebody mentioned you gotta install the o2 simulator same time as you install the hi flow cat ? true or false?
and if possible, what was your expierence with the bigjoshracing.com o2 cheater/simulator?

thanks in advance

btw, 03 ex coupe if it matters

suthrninca is an unknown quantity at this point
I have the big josh mil elim and kamikaze header but haven't installed them yet, so I can't speak from experience. But I would think that you could still install the mil elim and get the cel to go off. If it doesn't go off immediately, get the ecu reset. I'm not going to have a cat after I install the header (no worries, no emitions in AL). As far as I know, all the mil elim does is fool your sensor and ecu into thinking everything is cool.

I have the megan high flow cat, and I put in a bakerelectronics sim chip about a month later and then pulled the fuse for the ecu under the hood and have had not problems since.
