HP wise, whats the best I/H/E combo?
at least for an ex stick. I know there isnt alot to be gotten but if one is going to go any buy anything what would be the best gainers. Just looking at top end and please dont say stock.
Does this sound correct
Header: HP Racing Header w/cat 5HP
Intake: K&N FIPKII 5HP
Exhaust: ?Thermal or Tanabe? ?3HP?
Thats about what i've seen or heard for dynos with JUST that product put on but wouldnt each give you a little bit more when used in combination with the others? I've seen dynos for the Intake and Header but not really for exhausts. Anyone do just exhaust dynos? Please feel free to correct anything but please give links to dyno results.

ok does anyone have dynos or links to dynos. I'd like to post a thread that shows REAL dyno results with ONLY one part installed and tested at a time. I'll make another thread for that i guess to get more responses.
last time i checked it was up between injen cai and k&n. someone had a big gain with the injen but i havent seen anything lately. I'm pretty sure the HP racing is #1 but what about exhausts? I havent seen any dyno results. Have you? There may only be a little to gain but if i'm gonna spend ANOTHER $500(my gf has my old stuff) i'd like to get that extra .2HP for my money.

for .2-.5 HP, i'd rather save $55 and go buy another useless spoon cap.

or get that small tube when u removed the resonator(the 1 next to the battery) and run it from the airbox to right under the cruise control box...thats what im doin..the tube is close to the wheel well where the air is cold too

You guys crack me up. Did anyone actually test drive the car to see how much power it has? You have to throw some serious cash to make a civic fast. A cheap little filter isn't gonna do anything.

dc sports 4-1 shorty header is the WORST header and there are old dyno's of it where it gains about .2 hp ... so basically NOTHING
dc sports tcs catback is the WORST catback. I has huge restrictions in the muffler itself by looping around like a rollercoaster and not to mention the whole catback is extremely heavy
in my opinion, the BEST i/h/e system would be:
intake: a NON polished Injen cold air system with a different filter. Injen's filter sucks *** ... get one that has an opening at the top of the filter so it can suck air straight in instead of sucking from the sides.
header: HP 4-1 LONG header with NO cat ... 4-1 headers give the best top-end power, in my opinion. 4-2-1 is good for low end, midrange torque
exhaust: greddy evo 1 or 2. I've tried custom, tanabe super racing medallion and greddy evo2 ... and the greddy is the best system by far. True 2.25" piping and where the 2nd 1/2 of the axleback is, it opens up to 2.5" or so. It has a very straight through design with minimal bends, one straight-through resonator and a nice looking tip.
tanabe super racing medallion has more bends than the evo and it bottlenecked near the cat ... meaning, there's a small section that is about stock-piping's diameter and that opens up to 2.25" ...

since there aren't any 7thgen civic dynos of v2's (because nobody seems to like to dyno their cars), I default will jump to rsx's. Their v2 is a similar design regarding the "in the engine bay" design of having a sri instead of a cai

here is one for the Si. and not to throw you off, but the 2.5hp gain is horsepower to the flywheel, not to the wheels ... so maybe about 2whp gain.

and a link to the original thread with the v2 ... done by temple of vtec

note how they were bashing aem's claim of 17.5 whp gain. haha.
and if you don't believe me that short ram intakes are pieces of ****, go here
I don't remember the guy's name, but one guy on clubrsx lost .2hp from the v2
I agree. A CAI will give you more power than a drop in. A drop in doesn't improve air flow much at all cause the stock air box will never be better than an intake tube. I would rather save all the money I spent on retarded spoon junk and buy something that will give you a gain on the pavement. Looks get you girls, but if a POS owns you down, the girls won't be around long.
