They are K-grade DAC's (the highest available) that have 1/3 the distortion of standard DAC's and a S/N ratio of appx 120 dB. They are basically extremely high performance DAC's for maximum sound quality. It's Digital-to-Analog Converter BTW

my clarion drz9255 has two of them :P
i know that the alpine f1 status cd player has two also, its not a widely available thing, but its definately the high end DAC choice for lots of home audio recievers.

Regularjoe, what marantz reciever do you have? i have a SR5500 but was thinking about upgrading to the SR7500.

burr brown isnt a feature or anything, its just a name. I believe texas instruments owns the rights to the name burr brown, but dont quote me.

also, the pioneer deq-p9 has 6 24 bit bb's (tweet, midrange, midbass) and 2 1 bit bb's (sub)
