Wink Went to the track today!!

I know I'm not the fastest N/A 7th Gen EX, but I just wanted to share this with all you who have really helped me a lot with a lot of information.

Well, went to the track today, I really expected that my car were going to do a 17.0-17.2 or something like that but I made 16.68@83.19MPH.

The truth is I'm really happy with that time considering temps in Puerto Rico that are usually over 85 degrees and that my only performance mods are:
Injen RD CAI and Custom made 2.25" pipe cat-back w/ Magnaflow Muffler.

As I said, I know I'm not the fastest N/A here but I'm happy the car exeeded my expectations. I will continue building the car just a little bit, so I will let you know what happen by then.

scansel912, I believe you should have great tires cuz I made 83.19MPH and my time was 16.68. Is it that or you have great launch skills!
Props!

thanks, but nah man i have the stock firestone generic tires. I wish i had sticky tires cuz then i believe i could be at 15.7-15.8. My 60 foot time was lik 2.334 and any member that races on here would say thats not a very good 60 foot time at all. A great 60 foot is like 2.1-2.2 seconds. What rpms do u launch at and how do you launch?

Well... I launched at.... just a little below 4k RPMs, clutch half way, when the tires get the track, let off the whole clutch.

what about you?? how do u launch and at what RPMs??

I wonder what I would run if I had new tires. I run a 16.1 now with bald firestones and a 60' time of like 2.5-2.6. I launch good, just no traction :/.

Mootlif, Do you have the DH racing crank pulley installed and if so, did you feel any gains or have any problems. Tell me all about it. THanks

I rev a lot faster and it's a little quicker than the norm, and it's been installed for around 34k miles with no problems at all. I think it helps me launch a little better actually .

The PNP DH did for me, I don't know how that will be. I'm hesitant in putting it on the car so it's just sitting in my room looking pretty next to my xmods rsx lol.

So you have the pulley installed huh. I have mine still in the box, did you use the spacer and no problems yet. Is it worth the price of the pulley, belts and install? And chance of pre mature engine wear?

No subs , still run with the spare and all that stuff in the back too and usually a windshield repair kit or something equally stupid, lol.
