problem w/ system
I got my system put in today
-2 12 in blue thunder mtx subs
memphis audio amp
-4 memphis audio speaker, 2 memphis tweets
off brand 400 watt amp
-jvc head unit
everything songs good, trunk rattles a little bit, but when i have the volume turned down I can hear the left tweeter i think rattling and then when I rev up my engine it I think it's the amp that whistles, but I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem

the whistling you hear is just some electrical interference, most likely alternator whine...make sure your RCAs and signal wires are not run near power cables or other electrical devices (power inverter, PS2, etc.), and if that doesn't help, try some high-quality shielded cables, like StreetWires' ZeroNoise patch cables...i've heard you can avoid some interference and save some money on new RCAs by just wrapping your current ones in aluminum foil, but that's a little too ghetto for my liking...
and as for your trunk rattle...the first thing i did was apply a sheet of Dynamat Xtreme to the trunk lid to hold the "skin" to the "frame"...that helped alot, but with a pair of S12L7s getting 1500 watts, i stil lhad some pretty serious vibrations...if you remove the plastic trim piece where the trunk latch is (the latch on the bumper part, not the lid), you'll see the latch is held in place by two 10mm bolts...all you have to do is loosen the bolts and the latch will slide down about 1/4", then just tighten 'em back up...that little adjustment will pull your trunk a little tighter, and there will be virtually no rattle...it's free, and it's a huge improvement...good luck, and i hope this helps!

More than likely, a lot of the rattle is coming from the license plate. You have several options here. Buy a dynamat tag kit (way over priced) or get some deadening mat and apply on the back of your tag (I use fatmat as it's the same stuff, but at a significant discount). You could also get some of the foam weather stripping for home windows (i think max width it 1" though, so you'd have to apply in strips). Pretty much anything to deaden it. Another solution that'll help a whole lot is to use the trunk latch diy located on the site to tighten the seal of the trunk. Another thing you'll notice is rattling if the vent in the trunk (on driver's side behind the carpet, located right behind wheel well if going front to back). You can tape it up, or whatever to keeop it closed. I took the whole plastic flap thing out (surround and all) and fiberglassed the hole closed. After this, refer to the sound deadening DIY. And note the expanding foam, big help yet cheap.
There is actually a practical way to remove trunk rattle. You just need to adjust the trunk lock (its the silver thing located at the trunk base). You can adjust that to 3 levels. Manufacturer default is on 2nd level, just unscrew it and adjust to the lowest 3rd level. It will keep your trunk tight, but you only need to push the trunk a little harder when closing it.
not sure if this has been stated yet but when i had a system, my rear windshield would vibrate/rattle. what i did was shove a beenie or something similar between the 3rd brake light and rear window to decrease the rattling.
