who would win?
this kid at work has a 98 grand am gt 4 door automatic. he wants to race on saturday. he's got a cold air, borla exhaust, and a chip(not exactly sure what is it). me...02 civic ex 5-speed...intake, exhaust, and brand new falken 512's. who will win???

Ok lets look at this
He's got 150 hp stock and with his mods he'll most likely be making an extra 10-15 hp, and thats being generous. However he's tipping the scales at 2,987 lbs
You have 127 hp stock and get about 5-10 hp, again being generous and you weight about 2550 lbs
so heres some math
His car: Every horsepower has to pull 18.18 lbs
Your car: Every horsepower has to pull 18.61 lbs
So if you both has 5 speeds, both got a good launch, and both were good drivers then he'd pull you by a hair.
However hes an auto, and old domestic auto for that matter. Which are usually sluggish and hesitate.
IMO if your a decent driver and you minimize wheel spin, you'll take him.
