I didnt do the swap myself, but i have an a3 swap. Im not sure what kind of hassels the shop had but a few off the top of my head are: The imbolizer, The radiator, the clutch fluid line, If you have an A3 out of an RSX than the core support needs to be notched out a little bit, but if its an A3 out of the Si then no nothcing is required. Your going the have to cut some the underside of the hood for the p/s pulley to clear. Thats all i can think of off the top of my head. Check out hasport's web site there is alot of info to be found there.

Don't know if you read the DIY from www.hasport.com when they swapped a k20 into their 4dr vic.

If you do the swap correctly and add the little things like, AC and PS than there is really no disadvantages. You will not get as good as MPG, but who cares right? You are going to performance.

Well the k20a3 does only have vtec on the intake cam. If you want to have vtec to its full potental, you want to get the k20a2 or the jdm k20a. But, the cost will go up.

You do need the sub-frame to put the a3 into your engine bay.
