Well anyone will tell you, it is up to you what you get. There is no certain suspension setup on here that you should get. It all depends on what you want out of your suspension. I say if you want it, go ahead. I have the sportlines with konis and I like that setup. So I dont see much difference with that setup except the fact that your shocks wont be adjustable.

yeah man, you could go with the Tokikos to save some money. For the most part, unless you aren't taking your car to the track very often, Tokikos I heard work great on the street.

I have a Koni/Eibach Sportline setup, and I like having the option to adjust my firmness even though I dont autocross. For example, when I put my new tires on, I was able to dial in the firmness to compensate for the softer sidewall. Also its kinda nice to be able to either make it softer or firmer depending on the season. In the winter my tires feel harder so I soften my Konis. Vise versa in the summer. Another example is if I add a suspension part like a swaybar I can once again dial it in to my liking.

Not a big deal for some or even myself, but its nice to know its there.

I have the sportline/tokico hp setup. It's great for street use but far from ideal for autocross. The car rides and handles like it should have from the factory.

^^^Nice setup. I was told by another member today that cars with that set up handle great.
I was thinking about getting the Konis but down here in Miami I don't know of any tracks to do AutoXing.
I'm not installing my Sportlines till I get my Tokikos though.
Hey Slovic, how much were the T.Blues?

Even if you dont autocross, you can still get konis. I have sportlines and konis, and my car handles great. I drive normally too, but sometimes I like to drive crazy.

I called Tokico today and asked there technician about my setup.

I have a 2002 Civic LX Sedan and have Eibach Sportlines... we measured before and after and my car dropped almost exactly two inches. The Tokico guy told me not to buy his shocks over the phone today. He said that and shock they sold was only good up to a 1.5 inch drop. He said I would blow the shocks riding sooo low.

Saved me some money though! Spent $700 today on winter tires and was going to get a camber kit and Tokico blue shocks but forget about it.

I have an appointment Monday to put the car back on the stock springs and raise her back up. The car will probably still look good on my new 17's I got a few weeks ago. So potentially if anyone is looking for used sportlines... I may part with them or keep'em if I change my mind down the road.

Point is... Tokico themselves said not a good idea. Check their website and call yourself if anyone questions this.

I've seen a vic with sportlines and stock wheels and tires and almost no front wheel gap. I thought the drop was less than 2 inches.

After installing my Sportlines, my ride dropped just a little more than stock, yet attains great performance on curves just as the previous set I had installed and suspension feels stiff as well.

Keep this in mind too guys... not everything will be the same for two different cars even if they are the same models. Example: My dealership did a recall on struts and said just my car alone used three different kinds manufacturerd by three different companies. That is only one model and the ones made in Alliston Ontario.

Chances are that more of us have different components than we know and these different parts can give us different or varying results.

My Mechanic and I both measured before and after and I am very very close to 2" exactly. Front of car is solid and back bounces like a kangaroo.

he means that just because they say it is a "1.4" drop doesnt mean it will actually be that when you drop it, and that after seeing the drop in person it is more than 1.4 on his car...

Yes thanx, thats what I meant. I don't know about you guys but my stock rear shocks on the '02 LX Sedan are crappy as hell. They are bouncy and sag a little compared to both the years model before and the year after.

The dealership told me that is the way there are and I have looked at other '02 s in the area and they are bouncy too.

Then if you were to put the Eibach Prokit, it would drop about 1.5 inch.
Is this right??

Depending on what size 17" tires you put on, it might look like a 4x4 if you go back to stock springs.

With my Eibach Sportlines, my car sits at ~1.5" give or take a 1/4" on each wheel. This is with no load.

Yes this is a good point, when I put my 17's on they where actually smaller than the 15's size wise.
