The other day for those who know Staten Island, I was on Hylan BLVD, and there was a guy prob in his mid 30's with a 03 BMW 330 ci, manual, convertable with the top down. We were both going about the same speed passing up cars here and there, till we both got side by side at a red light. I knew as soon as the light turned green he was gonna take off so when it did he did as well as I. We started to race, I had him off the line but because I have an auto and he had manual he pulled in front of me in second gear, but i was keeping up with him. His back bumper was my front bumper, untill we both seen a cop on the other side of the BLVD pulling someone over. Thats when we slowed down to the next light and we were both laughing, cause it was a close call, but he asked me how many ponies I had in my vic because I was keeping up. . I told him it hasent been dynoed yet so I didn't know offhand. But he was cool though not like other Jerk-Off's who think there the shyt on Staten Island.

maybe your right i wasent in his car and i dont know if he was really stepping on it....oh you left out rsx base model my girl has the 160hp one auto with steptronics with aem short ram intake but she drives like a nut and when we race it is very close were usually both neck and neck.

are you thinking of the same car...it goes 0-60 in 6.4 seconds and only has a top speed of 128...it's only got 225hp...the 330ci is lucky to hit mid 15's...not knocking the car, but...get the facts right..

330 ci is fast lets not deface a 2001 prelude SH. Both cars run high 14's and I think the prelude is slightly quicker to 60. I'd rather have a prelude any day of the week. Flame all you want BMW lovers!

there's no difference btw regular prelude and prelude SH in speedwise..SH has better handling but that's it..

Just an interesting fact here. I raced my buddy who caught up with me after a concert and he drove a 88 3 series 5 spd. vs. my 02 dx i/h/e and I beat him by about 2 car lengths 20-90. We both had a girl in the car.

Not that it's an amazing win cuz it is an 88 but thought it might go along with this thread.

Um, no. Before i got my S i had an RSX auto...it'll put a buslength on a Civic auto. My friend has a 02 EX auto, we raced, and the result was the same every time...by 70-80 i'd have a few cars. Now Civic 5-speed well driven vs RSX auto in auto mode <sportshift is a bit faster, like .3 secs>, that could go eithjer way if the RSX is stock.

Civic 4-speed auto-mid 17 sec car
d17 engine-takes to mods like oil to water
Civic 5-speed-mid 16 sec car
RSX 5-speed auto-mid 16's in auto <16.4 is average stock>,low 16's in sportshift <16.1 or .2 is average>, high15's modded < i believe 15.7 was the fastest n/a auto on CRSX.

my friend had a 2k3 auto RSX and i have a 2k3 Civic EX auto. we raced and he put 2 car lengths at most on me by 70. if he had a bad launch (powerbraking) i would take him and he would be barely catching up by 60. however he also traded his in for a 2k2 type S and now he owns my life...
