jdm k20a problem starting.. help desperately needed

jdm k20a problem starting.. help desperately needed

hello, I have ran into what i hope is my last problem with the k20A swap in my 02 civic....

i can not start the car with the key... now i went to the dealerships (both, honda and acura) but they werent able to help me out as i told they might.

my car doesnt start ... im not sure what to do about it (new ignition/fuel sys?) how do all of you people who have K20A (not a2 or a3) swapped are starting their cars... what do i have to do?

please help i wanna drive it sooooooo bad.... =)

I know joeDC5 did that swap. Hawk did a K20a2. Talk to them or just search. You'll find anything with that.

its because the jdm ECU does not have a Immobilizer and your car is looking for one. If it can't find one it won't start, just crank forever.

Email the guys at hondata www.hondata.com I think they have to change the settings with the immobilizer system, i'm pretty sure thats what DC5@EM2 did.

thanks, just pmed DC5@EM2 i really hope i get a clear answer... i hear a lot of people say that k20a doesnt have immobilizer but at the same time people prove that they DO.... no clear answers... ..

nemesis- got my k20a motor/tranny/ecu for $5,000, was supposed to have a full clip but that got sold right before i wanted to get it... oh well this motor has less miles on it (~16k)

and thanks, still lokking for as much info on this as possible...
