Question about the RS*R ExMag GT-II series catback

Hey guys,
As a catback system in my car I have installed a galvanized pipe and a nice looking universal muffler. At the time I bought it I couldn't afford a better product. But now I got some bread and I'm considering the RS*R ExMag GT-II cat back, but they only make them for the EX models and mine's an LX. Here's my question, what about if I just get the RS*R muffler and leave the catback galvanized pipe installed? Will my gains in HP be the same as if I would get the whole RS*R cat cabck system? Do I need to increase the pipe's diameter? Thanks in advance.

Mike.
ps. Current pipe's diameter is 2 inches.

I thought you were thinking about getting a header too? Why not get an EX header?

Wait, you would be needing a b-pipe for that set-up. I used the RandomTech hi-flow cat as my b-pipe.

No need to buy an EX swaybar. No need to get an O2 sim, O2 wire can be extended to reach the after-cat O2 sensor bung.

RS*R systems are completely designed for each car, nothing is universal. It would be wise to buy the whole thing. Its worth the money, I know first hand.

What diameter is best on the pipe's exhaust? I've seen 60mm all the way to 80mm, so which goes better with our Civics making the best performance and sound? Anyone??
