stiffer springs good or bad?

with springs being stiffer meaning you now feel bumps a lot more, especially those pot holes or bumps on the freeway, hurt our suspension or body in any way? im a little worried because i have goldlines that dropped a little lower than 1.75" and when i hit bumps on the road or a pothole it just hits so damn hard that im afraid that one day ill hit a big enough bump and ill just ruin my whole suspension completely. is there anything that can be done to reduce or eliminate you feeling those bumps as hard or is just a price to pay for a lower stance? i dont mind as much but my girlfriend hates it and she bitches all the damn time it happens

does it make a loud noise? its possible your bottoming out. goldlines are pretty soft(compared to most lowering springs). also what tire size are you running? there's a night and day difference with my 18 vs 14s. i just love the way it rides with 14s, so nice and comfy.

Just because they rub doesnt mean that the springs suck. its just means its too low, your wheel offset isnt matched right, you need to roll fenders, etc...
