Installing full size battery?

I am considering installing a full size battery in my car and I got a few questions.

1. What kind of modifications do I have to make to my battery tray? I have not measured my potential battery yet, but I would imagine it would be taller.

2. Will I have lots of room for a bigger battery if I install a short ram air intake? I am probably picking the intake up this weekend...

3. What kind of slack do I have in my power wires? Can I get enough slack on the stock wiring to move them around a few inches to make them fit on the terminals?

Mainly what I want to know though is about modifying the battery tray, so any info will help thanks.

Oh also, one more point:

What is the best/easiest/safest way to get the battery secured down?

I have a standard sized Optima Red Top as a primary battery in the stock location. I had to take out the plastic battery cover. Other than that, it fits in there fine after manufering the tiedown out of the way. I used the stock tiedown to secure it.

How did you get it in there with the stock tie down? How big is the battery compared to stock? Was it not taller or deeper or wider?'

I don't really see how I would get a bigger battery in there without doing some mods

I took the stock battery and the plastic cover out. Then, I got the new Red Top (group 74 size, standard). I loosened the tiedown as far as possible. I then took the spacer off of the optima. I sat manuvered the battery into the tray around the tiedown. Connected the wires. Manuvered the tiedown back into place over the Optima, and tightened it back down. I didn't break anything, or have any fitament issues whatsoever.
